ABYP – How To Wear Tuxedo Pants
December is a crazy month... filled with shopping, shopping and more shopping
I know, it's tough to make an effort to stay stylish...so here's another "Anything But Yoga Pants" or ABYP easy outfit option
RECREATE THE LOOK
TIP: Tux pants are a trend right now.... these are a subtle and stylish. Not your typical black pants!!!
TIP: This sweater is comfy enough for the hectic days ahead, while creating a chic and effortless look
TIP: A black top is essential. The ruched front is very flattering and you can take off the sweater and still look great.
TIP: Boots with a wider heel are perfect for your busy day. These are the perfect height for your effortless and stylish look
TIP: A quilted handbag is always an elegant and stylish option.
TIP: One long necklace is enough to finish off this look.
ABYP – How To Layer Your Necklaces
I had the honor recently of meeting jewelry designer, Rebecca Harper Hallam at Elaine Turner Boutique. She sells her beautiful baubles at Elaine Turner and posts some of her pieces on Facebook.
I wanted to share her lovely, classic ABYP, or "Anything But Yoga Pants" look...
RECREATE THE LOOK
TIP: Rebecca's ruffles add a feminine touch to the black blazer - the jacket above is also available on bluefly.com in 0, 12
TIP: Don't labor over what to wear under your jacket. Keep it simple. Wear a black cami, sleeveless or long sleeve top with a nice neckline
TIP: The darker the wash, the more slimming the jean

TIP: An oxford gets a feminine update with heels!
TIP: You can layer your necklaces, just try to make sure they hang at various lengths. And, you CAN mix metals! (The necklace I'm wearing is also by Rebecca Hallam)

What To Wear To A Holiday Party
No doubt you are going to a holiday party or three this season and you will inevitably wonder what to wear. I've got you covered. This outfit is chic, fashion-forward, slimming, practical and WARM!
RECREATE THE LOOK
TIP: I have a fitted black velvet jacket and more of an over-sized version. I have had both for 10+ years. These pieces can be pulled out of the closet every holiday season, even when velvet isn't 'trendy'
(only available in sizes 2 & 4)
TIP: The actual pants I'm wearing are the "Paula" sequin pants by Alice & Olivia - they seem to be sold out everywhere. The Halston pants are not as high-waisted so you may need to leave jacket open and wear blouse or shell underneath depending on proportion
TIP: When your pants dust the floor, you really don't have to focus on your shoes. I am wearing a super high, comfy black wedge. They give me maximum height and comfort

TIP: You will pull these out for every special occasion so don't buy something too cheap

TIP: You can layer this bracelets just like you do with regular bracelets for a glam look
ABYP – How To Wear Riding Boots
Thanks, Michelle, for sharing this photo of you looking super sassy! I like this "edgy equestrian" look you have going here.
You are pulled together, modern, cool and definitely comfortable in your flat boots and jeans.
This is sure to inspire the ladies to lose the yoga pants!

TIP: I love an ivory, winter white or bright white jacket on brunettes. Looks amazing against your hair color
TIP: A striped top will add interest under a jacket. Make sure your stripes are far enough apart they don't make you dizzy.
TIP: A traditional blue jean color will really help darker boots...pop!
TIP: A pendant necklace is sometimes the only accessory you need to add some life to your look

TIP: When carrying a bag this bag, you definitely want to make sure it's real leather and it looks GOOD
TIP: For an edgier look, you can try boots like Michelle's...a bit roughed up
