WAL-MART DRESS

Wal-Mart Top as Dress

It’s not everyday that one sports a Wal-Mart dress to the symphony, but I did last night.  (SA Symphony was GREAT, btw!)

I wore Wal-Mart’s Norma Kamali kimono sleeve top as a mini dress with nude pumps and some pearl & chain accessories.

The jersey dress which cost all of $14 is a pretty decent quality and would travel really well.

I would recommend wearing it with tights or stockings, if you’re wearing it as a dress (unless you’re not going to be walking very far).  I noticed that as I walked the dress inched up… and I didn’t really have inches to spare.

If you are taller or aren’t feeling great about your legs, this is first and foremost a great top.  Pair it with skinny jeans or leggings and ankle boots.  Again, it would be chic for a trip.  The fabric is soft enough you could sleep in it, and the jersey makes it pretty wrinkle free.

BUSBEE STYLE ON “SA LIVING!”

My “SA Living” segement was all about Walmart fashion.  Okay, no doubt those are two words you never thought you’d see side by side.  But, seriously I found some AMAZING stuff at Walmart for super cheap!

Check out the fab looks I featured on “San Antonio Living!”

WALMART FASHION (As seen on SA Living)

Believe it or not, you can buy chic, sophisticated clothes anywhere.  I mean anywhere. Even the big dub, Walmart!

(Breath.) Okay,  I know it’s shocking.

On my quest to prove the point that you don’t have to spend a fortune to look like a million, I styled four models in Walmart fashions from head to toe.

Classic Cool Look

1) CLASSIC COOL – Total look $99

The first look is classic, but with a modern spin. The skinny jeans, ankle boots and layered accessories give this English country girl look some edge.  Would you ever know these jeans are from Walmart?  Love em’!

Desk to Dinner Look

2) DESK TO DINNER – Total look $99

The classic black blazer over the fitted,  black and white jersey dress makes this look conservative and totally appropriate for the office.  Shed the blazer and get your sexy back.  You are ready for a hot dinner date!  Including accessories this look costs a total of $107.

3) MODERN MINIMALIST – Total look $112 (see video post)

Nothing is more chic than head to toe black, except when you add a bright pop of red!  The red dolman-sleeve cardigan/cape is amazing and amazingly cheap for only $15.  Seriously.  Look it up.  I think this look is perfect for travel since it doesn’t wrinkle, gives breathing room and is uber comfy.  Also, the black, kimono sleeve top can double as a mini-dress for date night.

Party Perfect Look

4) PARTY PERFECT – Total look $107

If you didn’t know this dress was from Walmart, you’d probably pay $200 bucks for it.  It’s flattering, sexy and statement-making.  Not to mention completely current.  One shoulder dresses, draping and dolman sleeves…all are hot trends for fall!  Throw on a gold, strappy platform, some chandelier earrings and a bracelet, you are party perfect!

(The silk, leopard-print clutch is also really on trend for fall and a fun way to add some pizazz to your party look.)

RAIN BOOTS

Rain Boots

Perhaps these aren’t essential for us San Antonians, but if you live in the NorthEast or London… rain boots or Wellies are a must!

BUT, (pay attn SA friends) even in dry climates, they can be very useful for travel and just keeping your dogs toasty and dry on the occasional Texas rain day.

And, finding a pair with a heel?? Awesome!  Believe it or not these boots are from WalMart. Yup.  Not kidding.

Pair them with a fabulous, classic trench and black leggings or skinny jeans.

Pick these up for $28 bucks at the big dub and you’ll be wishing for rain!
