Maxi Shirt Dress

I feel like every woman needs to this maxi shirt dress in her life…
It’s casual chic with a hint of drama!
This shirt dress by BB Dakota, can be worn layered over basics as I did above, or you can simply wear it as a dress.

It comes with a black slip dress to wear underneath.
If you decide to wear it as a dress. I would add some feminine heels or booties…
And also belt the middle to create more of a feminine shape.
I love the drama the long shirt dress adds to my otherwise basic look.
It even flows when I move.

Nozawa Onsen

I’m next to a temple near the base of the ski mountain in Nozawa Onsen.
Nozawa Onsen is a small Japanese town outside Nagano.
It sits at 1500 feet.
It was amazing to ski and carry kids skis and not be huffing and puffing because of altitude.
Normally we ski at around 10,000 feet!!
Japan gets a crazy amount of snow, but now while we were there.
It was SO warm, it rained!

Food

We tried to get our kids to eat Japanese food… but to our great chagrin…they mostly ate french fries, ice cream,  pancakes and apples.
Chris and I tried sushi, tempura, curry, rice, teriyaki chicken, among traditional dishes.
The chicken was kind of sketchy, but the rice, tempura and sushi were AMAZING!
I was also surprised at how delicious their apples are.
Best apples I think I’ve ever had…
