I share outfit ideas for busy moms all the time. This post is focused more on busy moms who work in an office. I’ve done a few posts on business casual looks but I wanted to share some fresh, new outfit ideas. More specifically…for casual Friday at the office!
The first outfit I want to share with you is so chic! I shot this look during our visit to the Grand Canyon and the scenery is just gorgeous! I’m wearing a mesh turtleneck crop top by ALC. This exact top is sold out, but I linked a similar one above. And, many of you may prefer a regular turtleneck anyway. So, just wear a classic white turtleneck.
In this look, I wore it with these wide-leg pants from Club Monaco. The pleating on these is so flattering and the tailoring makes them a little dressier for the office. I also love the tie waist detail! They come in four colors (size down). To keep warm I wore some boots, but you could also wear pumps. The hat elevates the look even more but obviously ditch the hat in the office!
The second casual Friday outfit is a cardigan look. I shared it in my cardigans video here. I’m wearing a super flattering Felicity & Coco black dress. It’s a really great work dress and under $100! It has feminine, ruffle sleeves and is a conservative length for the office. Next, I added this cardigan over the dress and tied it together with a chic belt. This look is pretty, comfortable, and chic (not to mention warm). I threw on some croc embossed Michael Kors slingbacks, but you could also wear flats.
This last look one I shared in two posts last year here and here. I love how feminine it is! The ruffled top is so pretty and these Leith culottes are a great alternative to the same old black pants. Pair it with a classic pair of pumps and a great handbag and you’re ready to go! This exact handbag by Brahmin is sold out but I linked another…all of the Brahmin bags are so beautiful and luxe-looking!
Remember that you can recreate the same look using pieces you already own. For example, swap the blouse I’m wearing with a pretty option from your closet. Be sure to tuck it in!
I think one of the hardest things to find for the office is a work tote. Vince Camuto makes really classic, modern options in a variety of sizes, which I appreciate as a petite woman. I don’t always want a huge tote. The “Lina” (above) comes in three colors and is considered a small tote. It will fit a small laptop.
