Favorite Slippers
Not all slippers are created equal. I feel like I’m becoming an expert now that we live in Colorado. Well, frankly, I wore slippers all the time in the winter in Texas too because my husband refused to raise the thermostat above 65 degrees. Our house might be warmer in Colorado because we have in floor heat. đ Anyway, I’ve tried a bunch of options and so has my husband and I thought I would share my favorites at a variety of styles for all budgets.
For Mom
One of my favorite slipper brands for women is Muk Luks. They make adorable slipper boots like the gray pair I’m wearing above. They have a variety of patterns and shaft heights too! These boots are warm, cozy, and affordable. These slippers would also be an awesome gift for the holidays. You can find additional affordable holiday gift picks here.
I’ve also had a great experience with Ugg slippers. I prefer the mocassin style over the open back. I don’t like any flipping. Uggs are a bit pricier but will last a couple of years.
Outdoor Use
You aren’t going to dash to the grocery store in these Muk Luk slipper boots, but if you need to pop outside for a minute, these slippers have a sole that will handle the outdoors. I go outdoors all the time in mine to retrieve our dog, Travy, or talk with my favorite UPS drivers.

For the Kids
For the kiddos, I would look at the slippers from Lands’ End. They are a great price and you know with Lands’ End the quality will be there. I just ordered some for Elizabeth and she’s so excited to wear them!

If you love her sequin moto boots (above) by Vince Camuto, you can find those here. Aren’t they THE cutest? The sequins even flip and change color from gold to black. There are also matching moto boots for mom. You can find the pair I’m wearing here. Read more about these Mommy and Me Moto boots in this post.
For the Guys
My husband’s favorite slippers are by Sorel. They not only look GREAT, but they have also terrific structure and they last a LONG time! One of my slipper pet peeves is when they get all misshapen after some use. The Sorel slippers will retain their shape.

65 Degrees in the winter? I would die. I live in Scottsdale and if it’s below 95 I’m cold. I’ve tried to keep the heater at 68 and could not do it. I now have given into 74 and still throw my robe on over anything I’m wearing. I lived in Tahoe for 30 years and did my share of shoveling snow. Now seeing snow on TV makes me shiver.
Haha… your body would adjust. When I lived in Texas I couldn’t handle cold either. Erin xo
