Today…we’re introducing you to our amazing Home writer, Susan!

All About Susan
After an exhaustive search we found the incomparable, Susan. We are SO lucky to have sweet Susan on Team Busbee! She has an incredible magazine publishing background, just over 25 years focusing on marketing, distribution and content. She currently is the Managing Editor for the Women Create magazine series. With her incredible experience, and supportive, gracious and kind demeanor, she’s meshed perfectly with the Busbee team. Susan wears many hats on our team including writing home-inspired content. She edits our other writer’s posts, and helps out with all of the behind-the-scenes on the blog! She’s a true fan and had been following Busbee Style since 2016. Susan is fully committed to our mission of energizing and empowering women over 40.
Susan lives in sunny San Diego, CA with her husband, teen boys, and adorable pup, Rusty. When you ask Susan what she wanted to be when she grew up, she says she always wanted to be a great mom and is grateful every day for her two boys and entire family!
With a passion for pretty things, witty words, travel, and all things family, writing HOME content comes naturally. The magazine Susan is the Managing Editor for, Where Women Create, is a home and décor magazine about inspirational work, home, and studio spaces. She helps manage the editorial content, photography choices, writers and contributors, and feature research for the quarterly 160-page magazine. So truth be told, her home game is strong! She’s obsessed with coffee table books, a great novel, shopping, the beach, and cooking, but will admittedly tell you she really just loves baking (and the sugar that comes with it).
When Susan’s not working, you’ll find her enjoying a glass of wine and taking in the sunset on her balcony where (when you squint just right) you can see a blue sliver of the Pacific Ocean. Home really is her happy place!
