Hi Yvette! Thanks so much for your sweet words. I'm so glad you found the jacket!! It's one of my favorites. I haven't had any issues with the zipper... But here's some tips for getting a zipper unstuck: To get a zipper unstuck, gently try to slide the zipper up and down while applying a lubricant like soap, lip balm, or a graphite pencil to the zipper teeth; be careful not to pull too hard, and if the zipper is still stuck, you can try using a small amount of petroleum jelly on a cotton swab to work into the teeth around the stuck area. If you haven't tried these tips yet, I hope one of them works! ~Erin xo

Hello Erin
This article about your Africa trip is fabulous. I’m doing my best to replicate many of the items you wire. Most I’ve been able to find via your links or on Poshmark. I bought the Veronica Beard cargo jacket and cannot for the life of me get the zipper section off. I’m terrified I’m going to ruin it. Is there a trick to the zipper. I’ve searched YouTube but nothing there.
Any tips?
Thanks

Hi Joan! No we didn't get it, and honestly didn't see a single mosquito the whole trip. It may depend on just exactly where you'll be staying as well as the time of year (our trip was in April) so make sure to check in with any travel agents that you're working with on their advice as well as your own doctor's advice before deciding what's best for you. Have an amazing trip!! This was truly the trip of a lifetime for me and my family! Happy New Year! ~Erin xo

In reply to <a href="https://busbeestyle.com/africa-safari-packing-list/#comment-50834">Julie</a>.

Hi Julie! First of all...Congratulations in advance! What a special trip that will be. This was definitely a packing challenge for Erin, so it's good to start planning early. Layers are important for this trip as it does cool down at night. That jacket is amazing and we've had our fingers crossed for an entire YEAR that they would bring the style back!! Here's some similar boots to check out for now.
Comfortiva | https://rstyle.me/+uChFm9uPFIKCOa517pl4cQ
Thursday Boots | https://rstyle.me/+zKvTZqp9kct0BZj3xVkb0g
And in case you haven't already, make sure to watch Erin's video here as well: https://youtu.be/o21Q0HfoF-w
Hope this helps! Wishing you the BEST time on your trip in January. ~Team Busbee

Thank you for this information. I am heading to Tanzania and Zanzibar in January for our honeymoon, so I am going to use several of your tips. I love the jacket & boots you found. They are both sold out, so I am on the hunt for something similar. If you have any other tips, please feel free to share. Thanks and have a great day!

Hi Nisha! We were told pretty specific instructions on bags for this trip. It had to be a soft shell duffle due to the small plane restrictions, plus couldn't go over 40 lbs. total. It may be different for you, so just double check your airline's requirements. Have the BEST time on your upcoming trip to Namibia! ~Erin xo

Hi Erin,

I am headed to Namibia in October. Your packing list is a godsend!! Do you recommend the duffle bag over a wheeled carry on suitcase or duffle with wheels? Curious if you chose the Patagonia bag because you didn't want to check your bags or to ensure you didnt over pack. Thanks
