Hi Kate…
Oh my gosh, I totally hear you. I applied the same ideas, to my small closet. My love of closet organization actually started there. I did a story for WCBS with these guys http://bit.ly/1Q3uc8i – I think you have to keep a very lean, capsule wardrobe of like 100 pieces, sorted by type and color. Keep everything else under a bed or in a different place in shallow bins or baskets. Put all off-season clothes somewhere else. Fold your sweaters, jeans, camis, tees, and put them in drawers. Only hang things that need to be, like dresses, blouses, skirts, and trousers. Hope that helps a little? Erin xo

Hi Erin! I love your videos and blog and have been an avid follower for the last year or so 🙂 I live in Chicago with limited space… I know you used to live in NYC and was wondering if you could give some tips and share how you kept organized and fabulous while living in a city apartment? I love my clothes and bags and shoes, but I have to keep somewhat streamlined since I just have my small closet and under the bed boxes. I would love to hear more about “NYC Erin” so I can apply those tips to my life 🙂 Thanks so much!

I really love Dress For Success! Such a wonderful concept. Thank you for reminding me of this terrific organization. I think ‘cute’ is a euphemism for ‘good’… You could really substitute cute for good or great and that should be your bench mark. If you look good, you will feel good. Also, I agree with all your tips except the one about looking cute. I think that is more related to a certain personality type. Personally, I don’t want to look or feel “cute”. I am feminine but don’t strive for “cute” in my style.
