I’m 63 with wider hips. I love these barrel leg high-waisted jeans. They really are so flattering. I bought Levi’s baggy cinch in 31×30. I’m 5’7″ and weigh 160lb.

Will a barrel jean work for a not so slender physique. I’m a size women’s 12/14 5’6″.
I’m also interested in the sweatpant jeans, but don’t want to look fat and frumpy.

First I dont like the baggy jean style . I like flare jeans they longate your legs you look polished. My opinion baggy jeans look
Sloppy. I prefer more fitted jeans. I do like the cuff jean.

I am 87, have worn wide leg jeans for years. including plain straight wide , flared wide , bootcut, and bell bottoms (60’s). i am fairly tall and pretty skinny now, and the plain wide leg with belted waist is my best look. I don’t wear heels at all any more, but they look good with dressy flats or sneakers.
