Easy Summer Outfits for Busy Moms
If your schedule looks anything like mine during the summer, you probably don’t have a ton of time, right? Between lacrosse tournaments, practices, camps, running errands, cooking, cleaning, working, etc., there’s just a lot going on! On those summer days when you know you have a packed schedule, you want easy summer outfits! The ‘one-and-done’ pieces that make it easier to get dressed in the morning will save you SO much time and you’ll still look stylish. Below, I’m sharing two casual summer outfit ideas I’ll be throwing on when I only have a few minutes to get out the door in the morning…and everything is from one of my favorite retailers, Evereve!
DRESS | HEELS | SUNGLASSES
#1) The Maxi Dress
The first one-and-done piece you need for summer is a maxi dress! Throwing on a beautiful maxi (or midi) dress is SO easy and you still look pulled together and chic. This blue printed maxi dress is 100% cotton so it’s super lightweight, breezy, and fun. The one-shoulder neckline is flattering and the tie is adjustable. It is perfect for hot weather. And it’s one of those versatile summer dresses you can dress up with heels or dress down with sneakers or sandals. Oh, and it has pockets! Throw on a white denim jacket or blazer for more coverage.
I’m wearing a pair of strappy Marc Fisher heels that are SO chic and comfortable. Strappy heels are a big trend this summer and these are the perfect neutral option for all of your summer outfits…from dresses and skirts to jeans and tees. The mesh strap is also on-trend and keeps your feet cool. Keep scrolling to see 2 more ways to style this dress!
Bra tip: You’ll have to wear a strapless bra, bandeau, pasties (or no bra, if that is an option).

Belt It!
A simple style trick that packs a punch…add a belt! I love the look of this dress without the belt because of how billowy and flowy it is. But if you want to add a little more waist definition, belt it! This belt is by Harriet Isles, an accessories brand I recently discovered at Evereve, and it’s a really nice, affordable option if you’re looking for a brown belt. The buckle gives just the right amount of oomph without overpowering an outfit. It’s a hipster belt, but I added a hole to the belt so I could wear it around my waist.

Dress It Up!
If you’re dropping the kids off at practice, running a bunch of errands, and you don’t have time to head home before dinner, throw a blazer in your purse or backseat so you can dress this look up in a flash. I’m wearing a white double-breasted Evereve blazer that will definitely be a heavy hitter in my closet this summer! It’s super lightweight (linen blend) so even the ladies that live in super hot climates can throw it over their shoulders for an effortless 3rd layer. This dress would also look cute with a white denim jacket…

#2) The Jumpsuit
The next piece you need in your summer “get-ready-in-5-minutes” arsenal is a comfortable and easy jumpsuit! This Paige white jumpsuit is VERY soft. It’s a cotton blend so it’s pretty cool but it’s kind of thick, which is perfect for mild climates like Colorado! I love the chic utilitarian style, flattering tie waist, and subtle puff shoulders. It has a 27” inseam, which is perfect for me (I’m 5’4”). I’m wearing a size 4 and it fits true to size. I’d wear this jumpsuit with sneakers or sandals for a more casual look but it also looks great with heels and wedges. Keep scrolling for more info on my shoes 😉

Dressed Up
The Dolce Vita wedges I’m wearing are SO comfortable (for heels) and perfect with the jumpsuit. But I’d also wear them with shorts, dresses, skirts, and jeans! They’re versatile, have an almost 4” heel (that’s manageable), and they are affordable! They actually remind me of another designer pair of wedges I have…but for a fraction of the price!
Sizing info: Everything I’m wearing in this post runs true to size. I’m wearing a size Small or 4 in everything and 7.5 in shoes.
Which of these looks is more you?? #1 The Maxi Dress, #2 The Jumpsuits or #3 Both! Please share in the comments.

Question ; what size are you Chloe sneakers ?? I ordered my regular 8 and they were too close in the front .. so they are going back getting the next size but just wanted to know.. no half sizes so I’m hoping the 39 is ok I usually wear size 8
I typically wear a size 7 1/2 but I ordered a 38(US size 8) and they fit perfectly. I hope that helps! ~Erin xo
Love your outfit ideas for Summer. I discovered you on you tube when I was looking for Nordstrom Anniversary sale posts. You bought the Veronica Beard blazer too! I am a bit obsessed with it. So happy I found your blog and channel.
