How To Wear A Faux Fur Coat

Faux Fur Gorgeousness!

If you live in a cooler climate, the faux fur is your friend. It’s puffer warm and it keeps you looking very glam even on the coldest days! I wanted to share a recent GEM I found. This gorgeous leopard faux fur coat. If you want to see the coat in a video, you can watch my September Favorites video here. I feel like I finally found the mix I was looking for: faux fur in leopard print that looks VERY high-end!!

Walk on the Wild Side

With the coat, I’m wearing black jeans… a must-have in your wardrobe. I chose black to keep the look a bit dressier. If you want it to look more casual, opt for traditional blue jeans.  Remember these black slouchy boots by Stuart Weitzman from the Nordstrom sale? They are a little pricey so I linked some other options below. That said, the boots are 40% off right now so if you’ve been eying some slouch boots you should grab these. They also come in a beautiful tan. To glam up this look even more I added some big, square frame sunglasses. These are an amazing dupe of the popular Gucci sunglasses… for a fraction of the price.

Tips

My biggest tip on how to wear a faux fur coat is to let it do its thing… especially if it’s a bold print like leopard. Pair your faux fur with neutrals and basics so the coat really stands out. Similarly, you’ll want to make sure whatever you wear underneath looks good without the coat because of course, you will take it off at some point.

My second tip is to wear it with confidence. Sure every mom in town might be wearing a black parka or puffer, but you want to try something different. Own it, work it! 😉
