An Easy Dress That You Can Wear This Fall Too!
A white dress is one of those timeless pieces that are easy to throw on and make you look effortlessly chic. But a dress that hides everything that also looks sophisticated and chic!? Yes, please! Below, you’ll find the white dress I’m loving lately and how I styled it. Plus, some tips on how to style it for fall!

White Dress
This midi dress L’Academie is so gorgeous! It’s hard to find a dress with this silhouette that doesn’t look like it’s swallowing you up. It hides everything and I do mean everything! You could have a pasta dinner and be incredibly bloated… no problem! You could be four months pregnant, not ready to share the news… no problem! (You get the idea).
Since the fabric is lightweight linen, you’ll stay cool. If you’re worried about the lower v-neck, wear a white lacy or regular cotton cami underneath (depending on preferred level of steadiness). ! I styled it with super comfortable sandals from Ann Taylor. They have a pretty gold detail on the small block heel. They would be great for the office, with jeans, dresses, pants, etc. To finish off the look, I’m wearing the small Gucci Marmont shoulder bag. You know I love a pretty white handbag and this one has been a big favorite this summer. It can convert to a belt bag too!!
For Fall
For fall, I’d style this dress with some brown boots or booties, a chic camel blazer, and a brown bag. You could also Edge it up by wearing a Moto jacket and that would also help add waist definition. You could belt it too! It’s one of those dresses you can experiment with.

HI Erin
Love the BILLOWY white dress!
Just a suggestion – instead of eight (yes 8!) photo’s of you in the dress styled exactly the same and COMMENTS below the pictures with SUGGESTIONS of styling – why don’t you show us some pictures with different styles of the dress – add the jacket and belt you mention – show it with different types of shoes, show how it can be low-key or a dressed-up look. that would give us a better idea of how to wear it for our body types!
(i’m short with some excess curves)
Thanks
Shirlene in south africa – yes you’ve got fans that far away 🙂
That’s a great idea, Shirlene and I always try to give you different styling ideas. With this dress, you can easily add shape, by adding a moto jacket. A lighter shade like blush, beige or tan would be lovely with the white. If you are edgy, combat boots would be cool. I think you can transition into the fall by pairing the dress with a moto and booties. Happy to have readers in South Africa. We are coming for a visit this spring!!
