Standout Maxi Dresses
Have you ever loved a piece of clothing SO much you bought it more than once? As someone who loves clothes (no shock there!) and bringing new and exciting pieces into my wardrobe, this is rarely the case for me. BUT, when it came to gorgeous, PatBO maxi dresses, I couldn’t help but double up. Now, the two dresses I’m sharing below are not entirely identical. In fact, one is a solid, one is a fun print, the fabrications are different, as is the back of the dress. But the bold shoulder, flattering cutouts, and gorgeous draping…wonderfully the same. These incredibly flattering dresses are standout pieces that make a statement. Wedding guest, high school reunion, party, or just because you want to look and feel amazing– whatever the occasion, you will turn heads in these sexy, killer maxi dresses! I’m also sharing some budget-friendly, look-a-like dresses for less that are equally as stunning.

PatBO: In The Dessert
When I say any occasion is the right occasion, I mean it! I brought this dress on our recent trip to the Middle East. What might surprise you is that I didn’t save it for ONLY a fancy party. I wore it on our dessert excursion and yep, I wore it to ride a camel ?, to dinner, and shopping. I feel confident and special in this dress and wanted to get as much wear out of it as possible. So, I did just that! By the way, this dress is on sale here today (but sizes are selling out fast)!
In case you missed it, you can read all about our trip to the Middle East and what I wore, here.

PatBO: At The Beach
You might remember this beautiful, PatBO, crochet maxi dress was an unexpected purchase during my trip to Mexico last year. I was NOT even planning to try it on, let alone purchase it, but my daughter Elizabeth insisted I try it and I’m so glad I did! This is where my love of PatBO dresses began. Trust me when I say, even if you think you can’t, you CAN. The cutouts are strategically flattering and show just the right amount of skin. So you feel sexy but not too sexy.

Look For Less
Remember, a bold or puff shoulder can make your waist appear smaller and the placement of the cutouts brings attention to the smallest part of a woman’s body. But depending on your body shape, a v-neck or halter style neckline will create the same narrowing effect. I will admit, PatBo pieces come with a hefty price tag so if you are interested in getting the look for less, I rounded up some comparable, sexy maxi dresses with similar flattering features below. And…make sure you scroll all the way to the end for my same PatBO dress *on sale* in a beautiful tropical print.
Do you have a standout or transformative dress that just makes you feel amazing? If so, did you wear it for something special or just because? Please leave me a note in the comments! I’d love to hear about your experience.

Most maxis are way too long for me and I’m 5’4. I found some very cute Michael Kors dresses this week more of a long midi with diagonal slit in front in a lightweight t shirt fabric.
