With January behind us and March just in front, some of you are still bundling up in our outerwear while others are possibly starting to think about lighter layers. This in-between time when it comes to weather can be nuts. Temps fluctuate weekly, even daily! But this can also be a tough time to find coats that are still in stock since many retailers and designers are launching head first into spring attire. These 11 coats and jackets are still available and perfect for this time of year. If you are looking for a chic coat or jacket you can wear NOW but will also transition beautifully into spring…look no further!
In case you missed it, Erin shares her favorite puffer coats and jackets in this post.

Transitional Coats and Jackets
Tweed Bomber Jacket
This first jacket might look familiar. Erin got this brown tweed Banana Republic bomber in the fall, and it will transition nicely into spring too (if it isn’t freezing outside!). It has a ribbed oversized collar, ribbed hem and cuffs, and voluminous sleeves for easy layering. It’s relaxed without being oversized. Erin is wearing her usual size small. It’s also fully lined and…on sale. If you didn’t pick this up the last time we featured it, it’s now under $200. We wanted to show you a couple of ways to style it with both a spring and a more wintery look!
In the first set of images, Erin is wearing it with a casual neutral sweater and some Rag & Bone joggers that look like jeans but are actually sweatpants. All the jean details like the distressing and even the pockets are printed onto the fabric so they are VERY comfortable. She’s also wearing some chocolate brown booties and a crossbody bag. In the second set of images, Erin is wearing the bomber with all black…a classic black cashmere sweater, leather pants, and patent leather booties. We love the way Erin varied the tones and textures of the black and brown to create these chic outfits.

Alo Sherpa Jacket
Next up is one of Ern’s favorite casual jackets. This Alo cool sherpa jacket is a great length, super cozy, and we love the rich camel shade. It has a snap-off hood, a warm stand collar, rib-knit cuffs and hem, and zippered pockets. It also comes in a pretty ivory color. This jacket is so versatile you can style it with activewear or with jeans and booties!
In the first look above, Erin is wearing this jacket with some Beyond Yoga wide-leg leggings, a Balmain cap, and some comfy sneakers. This is your running errands or off-to-the-gym look. Then, she also styled it with a pair of wide-leg white jeans and a cable knit sweater by Pistola. Erin loves to wear winter whites and beiges, so this outfit variation is a go-to look for her. She completed the outfit with a pair of brown suede booties. This would look chic for a lunch date, shopping, or those more elevated errands you have to run. This sherpa jacket is a piece Erin has owned for years and she reaches for it season after season.

Elegant Wrap Coat
This next coat is the warmest of the bunch. It’s a gorgeous camel-colored wrap coat that’s a bit longer for those chillier days. A wrap coat is a super elegant option that can be dressed up or down. If you live in a cold climate, a coat like this one can take you through the next few months. It’s easy to layer thick or light layers underneath too. Erin styled it here with a white fur headband (go big or go home, right?) and a neutral sweater. When you are dressing for warmth but headed toward spring, embracing a lighter color palette like this can help cure the winter doldrums!
