Stripes are what I would call a trendy classic. They are always in style, but right now they are hotter than normal. Stripes are everywhere! Wearing horizontal stripes can be tricky. Well, wearing any print can be tricky… so let’s talk about some simple way to rock your stripes.

Striped Skirt
Before I dive into the look, let’s talk about this breathtaking location. It is a wildflower field just a short drive outside Telluride. Isn’t it gorgeous??
One of the common questions I get from viewers and readers is what to wear in the summer, when you want to stay cool, but not show your legs. A maxi skirt is always a great option!
This maxi skirt is by A.N.A. It has an elastic waist so it’s so comfortable! And, it’s ONLY $12.99!!! I know. It’s crazy. The skirt comes in eight different color combinations. My favorite is this one and the black skirt.
When in doubt wearing prints, always pair it with solid colored basic, like the black, v-neck tee I’m wearing above. I knotted the tee at the waist to eliminate the extra fabric and create more of a defined waist. You can also try a half-tuck to highlight the waistband. I’d wear this outfit running errands, to a casual office or to lunch!

Mules
These black mules are by Liz Claiborne. They have a peep toe and super manageable heel height. The thicker heel makes them easy to walk in. And the black is so versatile. You can wear these with skirts, jeans, shorts, etc.

Striped Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit is by My Michelle. The stripes are perfectly placed to make this jumpsuit so flattering! That’s another thing you want to think about when shopping for striped pieces! The v-neck is just enough sexy to spice it up…but it isn’t too revealing! Plus, it has a cute cutout on the back. It’s cropped so it won’t dust the floor and get dirty when you walk. And the material is stretchy and comfortable. This exact jumpsuit is sold out, but I linked similar ones. It might be available in stores though!
The beauty of the jumpsuit, you don’t have to worry about what to wear with it. It’s one and done!
Sneakers
I love these sneakers! I think white sneakers are a must-have for summer, and these are the perfect option. The laser cutout detail adds a stylish element. They’re super comfortable. They’re perfect for busy moms because they are stylish but functional. I’d wear this look running errands, to kids games, to lunch or out to dinner.
