Lightweight Button Down
A button-down is a must-have in any closet. It’s versatile and classic. You can throw on a button-down with jeans and be ready in seconds! But with so many button-downs out there, it’s hard to know what to buy! But if you’re going to buy only one shirt this summer, the one I’m featuring below by Rails… is it!

#1 | White Rails Ellis Cotton Shirt
Rails clothing is made with super breathable and durable fabrics that are perfect for spring and summer! If you’re like me and prefer cotton to linen, this shirt is your best option! It’s 100% cotton so it’s lightweight, comfortable, and super cool for the summer months! (Runs true to size, I’m wearing a size small). Underneath the shirt, I’m wearing my favorite white tank that I wear with everything!! I’m not kidding…it’s been a staple all spring and I bought it in black too! But you could wear a simple white cotton cami, lace cami, or just a nude bra. I knotted it in the front but you can leave it alone, tuck fully or try the French tuck.
Styling The Shirt
I styled the shirt with a pair of Moussy Vintage jeans. These jeans have a more relaxed fit, cool fading and distressing, tapered leg, and they are high rise (9 ¼”)! My sneakers are by Golden Goose. They’re pretty pricey but they’re SO comfortable. And I personally think they’re worth the investment. There are a lot of options out there, but these are cool because they have a platform (1 ¼”) so you get a little height!

#2 | Striped Rails Charli Shirt
The shirt is SO nice, I bought it twice!! My second Rails button-down is striped and it is made up of 55% linen and 45% rayon. Both fabrics are very lightweight, cool, and breathable. If you already have your white button-down covered, this one is a great option! or you can grab it as a second option. It’s a print but it’s so classic and you will wear it ALL the time! It also runs true to size, I’m wearing a size small.
I paired it with the same jeans and sneakers but you can easily wear this with shorts, skirts, and pants. I wore the same tank underneath and knotted it in the front but again you can tuck it too!
