3 Leather Finds Worth the Investment (AND Their Look-For-Less Counterparts!)

Leather is very on-trend this season and I’m pretty excited about it! (And, not just the real deal either. Vegan and faux leather is also super hot). I wanted to share three leather pieces that are on regular rotation for me and SO good. They are definitely worth the investment! But, I’m also sharing similar pieces if you are looking for that luxe leather look for less.

#1) Veronica Beard Cook Leather Blazer

This Veronica Beard blazer is one of those pieces you throw on and feel VERY special wearing. I originally bought the brown version of this jacket and when I saw the white on sale, I knew I had to have it! It’s over the top gorgeous and I love the color. It has pretty gold buttons, structured shoulders, and is beautifully tailored. I styled it with white Mother flare jeans, a simple white t-shirt, and sneakers for more of a casual look. You don’t have to think of blazers as workwear only! While definitely an investment piece, I know I’ll wear it for years to come.

#2) IRO Leather Midi Skirt

Another beautiful leather piece is this sexy, lambskin leather midi skirt! The flattering ruching and gathered front gives the illusion of a slimmer waist and hips. I love the slit in the middle (not too revealing), and the length is perfect! It’s also high-waisted which gives the illusion of longer legs. I styled it with a lightweight ba&sh blouse, but you could wear pretty much any thin top or sweater that doesn’t add bulk around the tummy area when you tuck it in.

#3) YSL Handbag

I purchased this YSL handbag while in Spain knowing I’d need a versatile bag to carry day or night. The medium size is perfect for all your daily essentials but still looks chic and elegant for the evening. The chain crossbody strap can be removed if you want to carry it by the top handle or as a clutch. The gold hardware is beautiful and adds that little something special.

Luxe Leather For Less

Each of these pieces are great wardrobe basics. Think of basics as the anchor for your wardrobe that provide a foundation for all of your clothing to seamlessly work together. I tend to splurge more on basics because I know how important they are to a functional wardrobe. While all three pieces are gorgeous and worth the investment, I wanted to share a few budget-friendly options if you’re looking to get these luxe looks for less! Leather Blazer

The vegan, long-line, leather blazer on the right in the graphic above has more of a relaxed fit in comparison to the double-breasted Veronica Beard blazer (left) which is more tailored. But, you can style it the same with jeans, dresses, and skirts. The cream is so gorgeous for a winter white look but will also transition beautifully into spring.

Flattering Leather Midi

This faux leather midi skirt from ASTR The Label on the right has the same flattering ruching and gathers to minimize the look of a tummy and hips. It's also high-waisted, under $100, and comes in a pretty dark brown tone as well.

All Leather Dupe

The silhouette, size, and hardware of this Kurt Geiger bag on the right, are very similar to the YSL bag on the left. And, it's 100% leather. It even has a similar chevron pattern and magnetic closure. If you're not quite wanting to splurge on the YSL bag, this would be a great option. I also found and linked a similar version in white!
