Flattering Fit
These relaxed fit (we won't call them baggy!) recycled leather pants by Agolde were the #1 pick for good reason. The silhouette is very flattering. Some of you didn't initially love the idea of breaking away from your skinny jeans, but these add a nice variety to your wardrobe. They also come in dark grey/ blue and white which would be so chic with a black chunky sweater and booties.
I bought this blazer in Madrid to wear with the matching pants (also linked) for a full suit look which is very popular in Europe...with sneakers! It's lightweight, looks good buttoned up or open, and is versatile enough to wear with jeans or trousers. It's structured without being fitted and is a bit longer than my Balmain blazer. It's also on sale for under $100 right now.
These cropped, kick-flare, pull-on jersey pants from & Other Stories are both comfortable and elegant. The elastic waistband smooths over your mid-section and the length is perfect (I'm 5'4" for reference). Such a flattering silhouette and they do honestly feel like pajamas. You can wear them to the office, running errands, with heels, boots, or sneakers. A GREAT basic to have in your wardrobe. Sizing is limited so I linked a few options.
You all loved these small, understated, simple hoops. They are the perfect size for every day and the price point can't be beat at under $20! They also come in silver.
I can't say enough about this elegant Balmain blazer and I've worn it ALL over Europe. This one piece elevates any outfit--it's just that stunning. Yes, it's a splurge but the fit can't be beat. It's been in and out of stock for months, but we just found it in stock in all sizes!
The bonus pick this month is a GREAT dupe for the Balmain blazer if you are looking for something a bit more affordable. Same great double-breasted style and gold buttons, and under $100.
After a decade in TV news, a desire to help women "look pretty" sparked a career pivot. I started my own wardrobe consulting business, styling "real" women for many years. In 2014, I changed direction again, using my TV background and styling expertise to launch this website and my YouTube channel. We are now a community of well over 1 million dynamic, vibrant, amazing women over 40... who know that age isn't something you need to hide from. For us, life is just getting started!!
