One Shoulder Top
One Shoulder Top | The Obsession Continues…
So, let’s first discuss why I love these tops so much. Well, as you have heard me say or read before, I think the shoulders are a sexy part of a woman’s body no matter what your age. It seems to be the one area that doesn’t suffer from cellulite and skin laxity. (If you are over 40, that is a term you’ll hear more and more.) True story, I had a cellulite consultation, and asked the doctor about the appearance of cellulite on the FRONT of my legs. The doctor said, “That’s not cellulite… it’s skin laxity.” It’s a REALLY nice way to say, your skin is sagging, sweetie. Kind of like when they say, “Slight discomfort,” and you end up feeling like your face is being shot with laser needles. (See Ultherapy review for more on THAT.)
I wore this outfit above during NYFW. If you missed my VIDEO diary on that whirlwind trip, you can watch it here. It was my look for the Pamella Roland fashion show. The pants are AMAZING, and sold out (so, so sorry!) BUT, I found you a pair here by one of my favorite lines, C/MEO Collective, that I think you love, maybe even more!
The top is by Alexis…another line I adore. This one is cropped, which means you have to wear it with high rise pants and jeans. For more versatility, look for a one-shoulder top that is longer, like this one or this one. I also gave you more options below.
These shoes were a MAJOR splurge. But I have zero buyers remorse. They are my anniversary present to myself. I adore my husband, but gift buying is not his forte. The year he gave me a card with an, “IOU a couch” scribbled in it, comes to mind. Well, maybe it’s not ‘the gifts’ so much as the presentation. 😉 I was pretty excited to get a couch. Anywho, I realize these pumps are pricey, so here is a similar pair for less.
