Your New Glam-iform

Having just returned from NYC I have some fresh perspective on inclement weather. I honestly forgot what it is like to battle the elements.

On my “shopping” day (few hours set aside so mommy can shop, kid-free)… it was cold and raining.

I was holding my umbrella, trying not to impale other people on the street and struggling to keep my bag on my shoulder. (Yup, that’s why city girls carry cross-body bags).

I quickly realized that when the weather is like this… it’s all about survival.

And to survive… IN STYLE… you need a go-to uniform!

My Glam-iform (below) needs slight modification for city living, but you can use the same general idea: great, skinny black pants and a sweater.

This is what most of the NYC ladies are wearing.

MODIFICATIONS:

1)  You definitely need to swap the pumps for flats or flat boots

2) You can also easily swap the faux fur pullover, for a sweater.

Add a red or berry lip, some stunning chandeliers… And…poof… you are glam, but also ready for whatever comes your way!

Thank you SO much for reading and subscribing to my blog! Erin xo

Hi Erin – I wish the weather for you in NY was better. I do remember that rainy and cold Saturday. I was in NY myself. I hope you post/vlog more about your trip. I hope the weather didn’t dampen what you had planned. Funny a few days later and its been in the 60’s here. Both my girl are/were fashion student. My youngest is now at FIT. I enjoy your blog and youtube channel. I am a bit older than you (50) but love you tips.
