Versatile Sweater
First up is this wrap sweater from Wayf. This sweater was actually a top-seller last year and Erin has it in the Brown Sugar color (pictured above). The v-neck wrap style makes this super flattering and a little more special. If you're worried about the surplice style, don't be! Just wear a fitted cami underneath.
If you don’t already have a pair of sock booties, don’t underestimate their superpowers! Because they fit snugly to the leg, they look great under every style jean (cropped, bootcut, wide-leg) and look elegant with skirts and dresses too. Erin picked these up in black, but they also come in brown and camel suede.
A leather jacket is one easy way to upgrade a simple jeans and t-shirt outfit, your favorite dress, or a tank and trousers. So chic! This Sam Edelman bomber jacket has a relaxed fit and an edgy vibe we love. If you already have a leather moto jacket, a bomber would be a cool third layer to mix things up.
Erin fell in love with these Sam Edelman tiny kitten heel slingbacks and owns them in white. They add such classic style to your outfit and look very similar to a designer version…but they’re under $90 for 2 more days.
Speaking of designer, this handbag also has more of a high-end appearance, doesn’t it? The rich brown color, gold hardware, and sculptural shape are all on point. Plus it has an adjustable strap so you can wear it as a crossbody or shoulder bag.
Pleated trousers are the IT pants right now. These have a high-waisted, straight-leg silhouette and come in both petite and regular lengths. They’re made from a soft stretchy material with a bit of forgiveness. If you’ve been wanting to try the trend, they are currently under $50.
If you’ve been following Erin for a while, you know how much she loves blazers. They really do add such polish and elegance to your look and are a great outfit-maker! This blazer has ruffled puff shoulders (flattering and modern), and the Ponte fabric has some stretch to it. It’s also fully lined and currently on-sale for $90.
When it comes to flattering dress styles, you really can’t beat a v-neck, wrap-style dress like this one from French Connection. If your LBD needs an upgrade, this sweater dress would be a super versatile option. Wear it this fall with a denim jacket and sneakers and then when the weather cools, style it with black tights, black sock booties (like #2), and a leather jacket to top it off.
We probably all have a basic black sweater in our closet, but if yours is stretched out or starting to pill, it might be time for a refresh. This crewneck cotton-blend sweater will be the one you grab to throw over your shoulders, pair with your leggings after a workout, or layer under coats and jackets this winter.
