This maxi shirt is the perfect 3rd summer layer.
Wear with your shorts to add extra coverage
(especially great for those of us with aging legs).
Or wear it over your swimsuit for a little added drama.
My thoughts on wearing cowboy (cowgirl) hats.
When in Rome (or West Texas) this is totally appropriate regardless of where you are from .
If you like it, then go for it!
BUT, don’t go overboard.
I think you can throw one or two western inspired pieces and then keep everything else basic.
You don’t want to look like you are dressing up for Halloween.
If you aren’t interested in wearing shorts, try this look with skinny jeans instead.
You can also swap the white tank for a tee for a little added coverage.

My grandmother, who was an old-school cowgirl, would say that a properly worn cowboy hat was two finger-widths above the eyebrow. It was never to be tilted any higher on the forehead than that. She would be proud of how you represent the modern cowgirl, Erin!
