I’ve been shopping this sale for over a decade. I know what sells out, what’s worth it, and what to skip. As the sale has grown in popularity, so has the number of people covering it.
I’m here for YOU. I only share staples that will genuinely earn their place in your wardrobe OR style standouts that I think you’ll love wearing. Not everything that looks good on camera is actually worth your money. I only feature what I’d buy myself.

Coats & Jackets
The NSale is one of the best times of year to invest in outerwear. Brand new fall arrivals at up to 40% off before prices go back up. I focus on classic neutrals in quality fabrics because these are pieces you’ll have and wear for years.
Denim
Denim is always one of my top NSale categories. Designer jeans that will genuinely last for years, at prices that actually make sense. A few of my favorite pairs like the Paige Anessa, AG Farrah, Mother the Hustler and Frame Le Slim Palazzo are all included in the sale!
Boots
Boots are always a star of this sale. Your size will sell out fast, so shop this category first. Now’s also a great time to replace any older basics with a new, more modern option.
Shoes
Grab your fall sneakers, ballet flats, and heels now while they’re on sale so you are fully ready with high quality basics once fall arrives.
Sweaters & Tops
This is the time to stock up on the cozy, chic layers you’ll be reaching for all fall and winter long. Once your size is gone, it might not be restocked. Don’t wait. s

No sizing stress here, just beautiful pieces that finish an outfit. Accessories are one of the smartest NSale buys because even one great pair of sunglasses can elevate pieces you already own.

Only the best of the best in this roundup — and this Madewell tote is at the very top of my list. I have last season’s version and have worn it so many times it has more than paid for itself. The definition of cost per wear — and this year’s version is just as good.
Under $150
As clothing prices continue to rise, it’s really nice to see some true standouts that won’t break the bank. I only selected the higher quality things that I believe you’ll get a lot of use from.
NSale FAQ & Shopping Tips
The best part of this sale is the first week or two. I don’t want you to miss out because of tech issues or unanswered questions. Here are the answers to the questions I get every single year.
Will items be restocked?
I have no way of knowing if sold-out items will be restocked. But I have tips below on how to snag some items when they come back…
Why was my order canceled? What do I do if I haven’t gotten an order confirmation?
When the sale goes live, sometimes an order will go through but you’ll get an email later that an item or your entire order has been canceled. The best thing you can do is contact Nordstrom Customer Service here by calling or starting an online chat.
Why isn’t the website working?
Each time a new tier opens up for the sale, there is a massive number of people visiting the Nordstrom website, which slows it down and creates an issue/error page. Try to be patient, and continue to refresh the page until you’re able to get through or the Nordstrom team can fix the problem.
What’s the best way to make sure I get what I want?
Buy high-demand items as soon as your tier becomes eligible to shop. You can check out multiple times so as soon as you have those items in your basket, check out…before you browse! Make sure everything is in your wishlist or cart in advance.
Should I order online or pickup in store?
Do not do order pickup in-store for anything popular. Your order will be fulfilled after online orders and in-store purchases. Many of these items get canceled. You can certainly do this for staples that don’t typically sell out.
What should I do if the piece I want sells out before I can order it?
If you want something that is already sold out, check on that item a couple times a day. Many items pop back in stock in one size just for a few minutes during the sale, usually due to returns.
What if I’m not sure about sizing?
Double check the size chart. I can’t emphasize this enough. You should know or learn your basic measurements, bust, waist and hips. If you are still unsure, buy 2 sizes! You can always return whichever size does not work. Returns are fairly easy at Nordstrom.
What can I do in advance to prepare?
Know what day and time you can shop. Make sure you sign in to your Nordstrom account BEFORE you start shopping. And, add everything to your wishlist or cart in advance.
