Best Summer Handbags 2018
I know many of you have been on the hunt for the perfect summer bag. You’re most likely looking for 1) style 2) versatility and 3) function. Well, I just got a new assortment of bags that I picked out from Henri Bendel, and all I can say is… WOW. They are SO good. You’ll see. Keep scrolling…
In true Henri Bendel form, the Spruce Street Satchel is a multi-functional bag. You can carry it as a satchel or a crossbody bag. This bag is definitely a standout with its unique shape and sporty racing stripes. I’m picturing this as the chicest gym or camera bag. Or just carry everyday you want to feel a little more sporty. If you are already living in yoga pants (you know who you are) this it the perfect sophisticated and sporty complement to the athleisure look.
This dress by Pam & Gela was a heavy hitter for me on our recent trip to Hawaii. I wore it over my one-piece swimsuit during our snorkel cruise. The long sleeves made it perfect for the windy boat ride since it was a little chilly. Plus, I felt pretty bad ass wearing it… like I was going to bust out a surf board, or hop into my race car. It’s pretty short, but I think you could also wear it as a tunic over jeans.
Let’s talk jewelry. Whenever I see a new Henri Bendel piece, it elicits the same excitement that Charlie felt opening the Wonka bar. With the jewelry (like the bags) there is always more than meets the eye. Take the Infinity Drop Earrings (above) as an example. You can wear these mixed metal earrings as studs, OR drops. You can even change the shape by choosing a different circle to hang the studs from.
Silver & Gold Jewelry
Mixed metal pieces… like the earrings and bracelet (pictured above)… enable you to skillfully combine silvers and golds. For example, if your bag has silver hardware and your shoes have gold hardware, just throw on one of these combination pieces to tie the metals together.
The Rivington Convertible Tote is a dream bag. If you have been eyeballing it, but still aren’t sure whether or not to pull the trigger… just do it! Trust me on this one. It’s a 3-in-1 bag. Well, more like 4-in-1…since you can carry it as a satchel using the top handles, create a crossbody strap, wear it as the chicest backpack, or even zip off the front pouch and carry that as a clutch (see pictures above). For size reference, I can fit my small Macbook in this bag. The top zips, which makes it great for travel. I brought it with me on my recent trip to Dallas for the blogger conference.
Before I move on to bag #3 which is just as awesome as #1 and #2, I wanted to talk a minute about the accessories in the look above: the semi-precious, Surf Linear Earrings, and matching Surf Necklace and Surf Ring. How gorgeous are these pieces? They are perfect when you want to add a subtle and more understated pop of color. In the pictures above you’ll notice I’m wearing the necklace backwards. I like to find fresh ways to style pieces.
You may remember seeing this jewelry in my Reward Style conference recap post. I wore this exact look to the pool party and I got a TON of complements!
I love the retro, round Jamie Sunglasses…look closely in the picture and you’ll notice how the frames kind of change colors from orange to pink. It depends on the light. They are trendy and chic.
My favorite part about the Rivington, though, is… the removable clutch! See the pocket in the front? You can zip that off and carry it as a clutch using your hands or the delicate silver, chain strap hidden inside the pocket. It’s just genius. They even have the option to buy different colored pouches now… so you can mix and match! Here are some of the other color choices.
#3 | Harper Backpack
The Harper Backpack is a brand new design from Bendels and I’m LOVING it!! It’s sleek and modern. The black zipper gives it a sporty, edgy vibe. I think this it also works well for women of all ages, from the high school or college student to the chic grandma chasing after grandkids.
HUGE thank you to Henri Bendel for sponsoring this post. I continue to be blown away by their products.
Thank you SO much for stopping by…
