Easy Steps To A Classic Look
Chanel is arguably one of the most recognizable fashion brands in history. It’s the brand many women aspire to own and wear, thanks in large part to the late Karl Lagerfeld, who spent 30 years as creative director for Chanel. You might also think it’s too expensive… cause it IS. It is over-the-top expensive, but I have some awesome news: In this post, I’m sharing a classic and chic Chanel-like look that will not break the bank!!
Shall we get our Chanel on…?
How To Get The Chanel Look
I’ll keep this simple for you. There are only FIVE main things you need to pull off the Chanel look…
1) TWEED, tweed and more tweed!
2) The jacket is EVERYTHING
3) Add some pearls
4) Quilted bag for the win!
5) Don’t forget sunglasses
Look #1 | Dress
Now on to the affordable Chanel outfit inspiration! Let’s dissect the look.
This dress is by Karl Lagerfeld and only $66! Yes, I know… it looks SO luxe and yet the price is SO good. This is an uber-chic, sleeveless, tweed sheath dress. I told you tweed is the key part of your Chanel-like look! I absolutely love the chain and pearl detail along the front There are also similar elegant details at the pockets and neckline. that gives it that classic Chanel look.
The longline, structured, tweed, black jacket I’m wearing is also by Karl Lagerfeld. The rounded neckline matches the dress and pairs perfectly. And, I love the contrasting trim! It’s one of those jackets you can style multiple ways.
I’m wearing some really classic black pumps. You can never go wrong with classic heels. And I’m carrying the Rebecca Minkoff quilted Love Crossbody Bag. This bag is an amazing dupe for the Chanel Boy Bag. Add some pearls and modern dark sunglasses nd your Chanel look is complete!!
I know this one is going to blow you away, but everything in my look is available at Walmart.com. Yes, everything.
Wear the Jacket with Jeans
I wanted to share that you can also style this tweed jacket with jeans to really dress up your denim. I paired the jacket with dark wash skinny jeans, a lace cami, and black pumps. Next, I layered some gorgeous pearl necklaces (more Chanel inspiration.) The first necklace has pretty delicate pearls that hit right at my collarbone. It’s the perfect length for layering. The second necklace is a longer pendant necklace that you can adjust so you can wear it like I am, or as a lariat necklace. I love the way these two necklaces look together!
So… I hope that helps you better visualize how you CAN look like you are wearing Chanel, but without the hefty Chanel price tag.
