It’s SO Hard to Find Awesome Tops… I Rounded Up 6 You Will LOVE!
Tops Under $100
If you are anything like me, you have a tough time finding cute tops… especially when you’re on a budget. I actually joked recently that I should create a clothing line called “Just tops” because I swear EVERY SINGLE TIME I’m on the top hunt, I can’t find one I love. This conversation inspired this post. I wanted to help you on your top hunt… and find some really cute ones that are also insanely affordable.
Before we dive in, it’s important to understand my cute top criteria:
1) You must be able to wear a regular bra.
2) For trendier options, I prefer under $100.
3) It has to be lightweight!
If you’re a regular here, you’ve probably seen this top before. I styled it two ways in this post. This white button down a great basic with a trendy and modern twist. It’s oversized and has a longer hemline, wide sleeves, and it’s 100% cotton so it’s very cool. You can wear this under a jacket or blazer, tied or tucked in the front, and even as a coverup. It’s a super chic option for summer. And the best part?? It’s only $49!
This Open Edit brand is fairly new at Nordstrom and I’m really loving it… They have super cool pieces at really affordable prices! You can shop for more of their pieces here. Most of their styles also come in plus-size options.

This ruffled top by French Collection would be perfect with a pair of denim shorts this summer. It is cropped so just make sure whatever bottoms you wear are high waisted and you should be fine!
If you prefer to keep your arms covered, this ruched sleeve top by ASTR the Label is great. The ruched sleeves and v-neckline give it more interest. It’s hard to tell but it also has some textured stripes. I’d style this with a pair of white flared jeans for an easy, breezy summer outfit.
I love a button-up for summer and this one by Sanctuary is already designed to tie at the waist. Knotting your top like this is a great style trick for summer, but this top takes the guesswork out of it!
This is another Open Edit top that will be super easy to throw on with jeans or shorts this summer. It’s 100% organic cotton so you’ll stay cool and you all know how much I loved a puff sleeve! It also comes in a pretty lavender color.
Free People is another great brand for affordable styles. I especially love their tops during the summer. This one is a faux wrap style, which is flattering on all body types. It’s linen so you’ll stay cool. And it has voluminous puffed sleeves!
