Anyone else feel like they are barely keeping their heads above water?
Like even something as small as picking up pumpkins for school seems overwhelming?
Kinda sad, huh.
But, I’m guessing many of you know exactly what I’m talking about.
That’s why it’s so important to have some go-to, casual fall/winter season looks at the ready!

Like this look above.

I’ve had my eye on the color bordeaux (AKA burgundy, oxblood, wine) for about a year now.
And, have been slowly stocking up on pieces.

Most recently, I found these jeans on sale at SaksOff5th.
I’m so happy with the high-rise fit.

With colored skinny jeans, you treat them just like regular skinny jeans in terms of what silhouettes you pair with them. Add some volume on the top… to offset the slim fitting jeans.
You should also pair with neutral toned tops/sweaters, like black, white, beige, gray, tan, camel, etc,

Other notable bordeaux pieces:

These fab Vince Camuto booties, are now sold out, click here for a similar option (and more options below).
Tassel earrings from Baublebar. I’ve worn these quite a bit.

I’m still keeping an eye out for a great deal on a bordeaux leather jacket.

The sweater is from Off5th too. It’s kinda masculine, but I dig it.
You could always make it more feminine by pairing it with a full, black skirt or sexy, black faux leather pencil skirt.

It’s a cozy fall/winter weekend or casual events look that will work for all ages.
(If you are on the masculine side, see my notes above about the sweater.)

Now… if only I could find the time to bring the rest of my sweaters downstairs. Ugh.

As always, let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog and shopping through my links.
I appreciate you!

Hi Erin, I so appreciate your blogs and bodies. I love seeing what you’re wearing. I would however appreciate really low budget finds too. Being a normal middle class mom I shop department dtores in the mall, Kohls and JC Penney. I found some great colored skinnies at Zold Nzvh last week for $17 Moto jeans st JC Penney go in the $20 range. Now I may have skipped over the motif without your inspiration, but I may not have found them on my own seeing the price range you offer either. I totally understand you may not have the affiliate links from these stores and that you are s blogger and maybe I. Your industry it might almost be a “sin” to discuss the stores but I thought I’d offer the suggestion. Again I really love seeing your pictures and videos

Hi CC… I hear you. I know most of us are on very limited budgets. Make sure you watch my top 5 affordable online boutiques video if you haven’t already on YouTube (also posted on the blog). I need to check out Penneys and Kohl’s. I know there is a lot of GREAT stuff in both!! Thanks for reminding me about the look for less. Erin xo
