Meet “Traveler,” our new golden retriever.
Yup, kind of an odd name for a dog, but we promised our son, Gage, he could pick it.
And that’s what he liked.
SO… Traveler it is!
The genesis of the name, “Traveler” is pretty easy to deduce.
We picked Traveler up at the airport.
Keep it simple I always say!
For me the experience with Traveler the past few days has been bitter sweet.
Even though she is a completely different dog…
Memories of our beautiful Luz have been flooding back.
About a year ago, we had to put Luz down, after just five short months of having her.
Luz was born with only half a kidney.
Without kidneys, your body fills with toxins until you die.
Luz was a gorgeous, delicate dog. Elegant. She was incredibly sweet and loving.
Traveler, on the other hand, seems to be a bit of a bruiser.
She LOVES to eat…like won’t miss a meal.
She has a LOT of fluffy hair…paws that kind of scare me they are so big,
And, crazy amount of energy, just like my husband and two children…
Plus, she’s stubborn (like all of us.)
…I’d say she fits right in.
We have to work on the poo and pee in the kitchen.
And certainly she can’t grab a hold of Elizabeth’s ponytail like she did tonight, and yank on it with her teeth.
But, we are ready for journey ahead…

LOL!! Yes you can’t pick up a golden for long! We always just get down on the floor with them to cuddle and play! They are lovers

Hey Erin! I’m looking for the style they call the “mid” on sale. Not sure yet if I want black or grill/black… Size 9. These babies don’t appear to go on sale often! Awww! She’s so cute! We have a rescue that we adore. It was hard for me too . We had to put our lab down she was just getting old. Traveler is sooo cute! Congrats on your newest member!
