Your fall style uniform may look slightly different than mine because every one of you has a different body shape, lifestyle and climate. But, the concept is the same.
Blouse + Jeans + Boots = Perfect Fall Outfit
If we were living in Telluride right now, my fall outfit would probably include an extra layer like a blazer, puffer, or moto jacket. But it’s still pretty warm here in Madrid so I don’t need a jacket. The outfit below, and variations of the outfit, will be what I’m living in for the next month…

My Fall Uniform
I know it might be easy to hear the word, “uniform” and think… ugh. That’s so unoriginal. BUT, every piece can be totally unique and look very different. I think it’s really important to have your go-to style formula because it can really help you save time getting dressed while also keeping you looking your absolute best!

Not-So-Basic Blouse
For example, look at my gorgeous Paige blouse above. It’s a black blouse, yes. It’s a basic, yes. It’s versatile… absolutely. But, the flared sleeve, and unique button detailing at the neckline, make it feel quite special. You can go in many directions with your blouse. Something sexier and more fitted, a printed top, a wrap-front top, etc. You can completely change your look by swapping out one piece.
The Best Jeans
I paired the silky blouse with a pair of Moussy Vintage relaxed-fit jeans. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know how much I love Moussy jeans…the denim quality is incredible, the fit is amazing, and the wash on each pair is just so cool and unique! This exact pair sold out so I linked a few other options. So many of you that have splurged on some Moussy jeans, have written me, telling me how much you love them. They are worth EVERY penny. They run shorter too which is great if you are petite like me.
These jeans are a more affordable option that are also modern and cool. Another one of my favorite pairs of jeans this fall is these AG jeans that I’ve been living in!
It’s very easy to mix up your jeans too. As a professional shopper and a passion for fashion, I can tell you unequivocally, no two pairs of denim are the same. The fit is very different. You also have a variety of silhouettes, rises, colors, washes, etc. Wearing tapered or skinny jeans is quite different than wearing high rise flared jeans, for example.
Bad A*s Boots
These booties have been a surprise hit for me. You may remember them from this post where I featured the only two pairs of booties you need this fall. I wasn’t really sure I could pull these off, but I’m seriously digging them. The lugged sole boots are a HUGE trend for fall. (Find more fall fashion trends here.)
Now, think about this outfit with stiletto suede booties, or tall croc-embossed western boots. I think you get the picture. You can totally change up the whole look with each piece of your fall uniform. The uniform / formula is simply a guide to help you get dressed easier!

I just can’t get with the chunky boots that are in style. I just don’t find them flattering and am puzzled as to why people are wearing them. When you combine them with the boxy, loose clothes that are in style, it’s like people are trying to look unattractive .
