This outfit is my favorite mix of fashion and function.
The look has a little drama and excitement to appeal to your fashionable side.
And, yet, it’s quite comfortable, making it a cinch to wear around the city.
I love the movement of the dress.  And, the femininity of the dress…
Contrasted with the edginess of the leather jacket and booties.

 

Dark Floral Trend

One of the trends this winter is dark floral prints.
Basically floral prints with a navy or black background.
These prints appeal to both the traditional light and feminine floral print lovers…
And, the women who don’t necessarily want to wear bright florals…
Who prefer a darker palette with a dash of drama.
This dress by Nicole Miller layers beautifully over my bow neck blouse.
It is also thin enough to layer UNDER the moto jacket.
A great wear now, wear later piece…

A black leather jacket is a wonderful, versatile wardrobe basic.
The one I’m wearing by Joie has been a great investment.
I bought mine a few years ago and still wear it all the time.
It’s thin, with incredibly soft leather.

Statement Earrings

My earrings don’t normally get their own paragraph…
But, these (above) are different!

Fashion and Function…

My favorite looks are the ones that truly combine fashion and function.
These booties have a chunky heel and are comfortable to walk in.
The long skirt, layered over a cami and a blouse, layered under a jacket…. kept me pretty warm.
The wristlet is great for carrying essentials on the go.
And the top knot is a chic,, yet fuss-free hair style that you can achieve in very little time…
