How To Wear A White Lace Dress

In the past, we have reserved white dresses for weddings, and showers…
Now, the white dress is like the creamer in your coffee… a must!

It reminds me a little of Rebecca Taylor, Self Portrait and Alexis…

White dresses are also a LOT more versatile than you might think.
You can wear a pretty white dress running errands during the day, out to dinner… even to the office.
(Hear me out)

Where to Wear a White Dress

So if you wanted to wear this dress (above) to the office, for example…
I would layer a lace cami underneath the dress.
Or a bow blouse.
Then layer a tailored jacket over the dress and swap the espadrilles for pumps.
Is this a law office dress? Probably not…
But, I think it can work in more casual or laid back office settings.

You can also wear your white dress like I did (above) for a party or dinner out.
OR… on vacation!

Layering

Try layering a cami under the dress if you want a more modest neckline.
(AKA more coverage for the girls!)
I tried it with a white lace cami …and it looks gorgeous.
You can also play around with layering short sleeve, and long sleeve silky blouses or tees underneath.

Sandals

There is a reason why these espadrilles are a blogger favorite…
They make you look REALLY tall.
And, they are incredibly comfortable for a shoe of this height.
I could wear them for hours and be okay.
I bought the “mushroom suede” color.

Location

All of the photos (above) were taken at Cibolo Creek Ranch in West Texas.
The ranch is outside of Marfa, Texas, and one of my favorite places on the planet.
It’s been featured in Vogue, Architechtural Digest, among others.

Cibolo Creek Ranch is also where Chris and I got married, almost 10 years ago.
This is our 2nd time back since our wedding.
It’s a place that is VERY special to me.
Notice in the picture (above) I’m standing on my toes even in FIVE inch sandals!
I’m 5’4″ and he’s 6’2″!

Buffalo

You may also notice in one of the pictures above… some dark animals in the background that look kind of like cows.
They are actually buffalo.
So… this is a place where buffalo really DO roam!

I took these shots myself and I’m really proud of them.
I hold the remote in one hand and try to hide it the best I can.
