Five Pairs of Shoes You Need This Fall

As of Saturday…it’s officially fall! I love fall. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until last year… our first year in Colorado. (In south Texas, you don’t really have fall.) Words cannot encapsulate how stunning fall is here in Telluride. I know it’s popular to come here to ski in the winter, or hike/bike in the summer, but I am quickly realizing that fall is my favorite time of the year here.

Every year it’s great to take stock in your basics. I talk about your wardrobe basics a lot. You can get the checklists when you subscribe to my weekly newsletter here. The basics extend to footwear. Do you have all the shoes you need for the season?

Below, I’m sharing five pairs of shoes you need this fall that I think are really versatile.

Fall Booties 2018 featuring Vince Camuto black suede side zip booties with a veronica beard plaid blazer and blankNYC jeans on fashion blogger over 40, Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com, shoes you need this fall

#1 | Black Booties

You probably saw me feature these chic Vince Camuto black booties in this post. They are the perfect classic black booties. Super versatile and can be dressed up OR down. They come in black suede (above), black leather, and leopard. I have some similar Vince Camuto leopard booties and I love them. They have a pointed toe, which makes them look a little dressier. Plus, it helps you look longer and leaner. Watch my video on how to look taller if you’re petite here.
These ankle booties run true to size.

#2 |  Mules

MULES are the best! They are easy to get on and off and they look FABULOUS with a pair of jeans. This pair (similar) by Dolce Vita is snakeskin, which is a huge trend this season. You can wear them with jeans or something a bit dressier, like a dress or skirt. They are a subtle way to incorporate the snakeskin trend into your wardrobe. If you’re not a fan of mules, I also love these Vince Camuto snakeskin pumps!

 #3 | Sneakers

Now for a more casual option…everyone needs a good pair of casual sneakers to run around in. You can wear these for running errands, picking up the kids, travel, etc. And I love that this pair above is metallic. These exact sneakers are sold out but I linked more below! I might also consider a white or black pair.

Animal print haircalf slides and flats by Sole Society, shoes you need this fall

#4 | Flats

How cute are these Sole Society cheetah flats (similar)? AND they’re comfortable! Sole Society makes great shoes that are comfy and do not break the bank. The V shape in the front of these flats is really chic and the cheetah print is again on trend. A fun addition to your fall look! Watch my video on flat shoes here.
