New Spring Trends For 2019 Straight From The Runway

10+ Wearable Trends

Feathers and prints and colors, oh my! There are so many great trends coming your way this spring! I know you don’t have time to research the trends and figure out which ones you want to try. But, you don’t have to because I’ve done all of the research for you! I love pouring over websites and runway photos to find the exciting trends happening this season. Just a reminder that these are not ALL of the spring trends. There are dozens of major and micro trends. I’m sharing the top 10 most wearable trends that I think you will like the most.

As always, do not feel like you have to try every trend or even like the trend. If there’s one that speaks to you…try it out!

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including matching printed suits

Printed Suits

The first trend that I really love is printed suits. You know how much I love a matching set and this trend just takes it a step further. I think the print can be really fun if you want to try it out. But if not, maybe try a solid matching suit first to see how you feel in it.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including dramatic everything

Drama

Next, dramatic everything. I say I love drama in my clothes and not in my life! This trend is broad. On the runways, I noticed ruffles, oversized everything, big shoulders, bright florals, etc. Everything is just bigger and MORE! While I don’t see people walking around in full on ruffles, I do think it’s wearable depending on which aspects you like about it. You could do a big, strong shoulder. Or a fun ruffle shoulder top. Or a full skirt. The possibilities are endless and you can tailor it to your style.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including the updated utility wear look

Modern Utility

Think army uniform. Lots of big over-sized cargo pockets, in neutral colors like khaki, beige and brown. You can try pants, tops, jackets, even jumpsuits. I think the belted jacket would be the most wearable and exciting to wear. You can see my picks below.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including polka dots

Polka Dots

This one is really fun! We’re seeing small and large scale polka dots on everything from dresses to tops and skirts. This is a very easy print to wear. It’s a classic that all ages and body types can style with ease. Remember my guideline for prints? When in doubt pick one print on one piece and keep everything else neutral.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including scarf prints

Scarf Prints

These fun prints are popping up everywhere! I think that depending on how you wear them, it can be a really striking look. I could see wearing a printed dress on vacation or this summer by the pool or maybe bold skirts on a beach somewhere!

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including feathers

Feathers

Yes…feathers, everywhere! On shoes, dresses, skirts, and tops. You name it… there’s a feathered option. As always you can go full-on feathers or try something with just a few for a more subtle approach. I think this is a simple and exciting trend to try out. Maybe start with an accessory like earrings.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including fishnet

Fishnets

This is a really interesting trend. I’m a huge fan of texture and fishnet certainly brings on the texture! In addition to tights, you can fishnet tops, skirts, even dresses!

It reminds me of the fall trend: crochet. Crochet was also spotted on the runway.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including color blocking

Color-Blocking

This trend came in multiple forms. There were lots of two-toned maxi dresses, and there were some pieces that had over-sized shapes in contrasting colors like the first two looks above.

Color Trends

I saved this one for last because there are so many color trends happening this spring! I saw lots of pastels, neons, and a combination of both. So you have a lot of color options to work with this spring!

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including head to toe neutrals

Neutral

First, and possibly my favorite, is all neutral. I love the head to toe beige look. It is so sophisticated and chic! I’m not even sure we can call it a trend because it’s always in style.

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including metallics like silver, gold, blues, pinks, and more

Metallics

Metallic gold, silver, plaid, pink. You name it! It was on the runway! But my favorite was metallic blush. It’s a cool way to add something extra during spring!

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including pastels like pale blue

Pastels: Pale Blue

One color that really stood out to me was pale blue. I love this color and think it looks beautiful on everyone. It reminds me of classy vintage Chanel or something Jackie O would wear. But there were also pale pinks, pale yellows, and pale purples. So it’s really up to you on which color you’d like to try!

Spring Trends for 2019 by fashion blogger Erin Busbee of BusbeeStyle.com including neons like bright pink, orange, and yellow

Neons

The biggest neons I noticed were bright pink, bright orange, and golden yellow. All of them are gorgeous and would be fun to try!

Bonus Trend | Deconstructed Denim

Another trend I noticed and am interested to see off the runway is reconstructed denim. I saw cool denim jackets, denim skirts with mismatched hems and waistlines, and more. This trend reminds me of these Mother jeans I have with a step hem waistband (above).
