Date Night In Paris
You may have noticed on Instagram that Chris and I took a quick trip to Paris. I hadn’t been there in more than 20 years. I lived in Paris for a semester in college while I studied at the Sorbonne. It totally changed my life and certainly shaped my sense of style. It was really exciting and cathartic to go back. I talk about the trip in two videos here and here. On the first night, I was so excited to get dressed up for date night and go out. The weather was beautiful and the adrenaline was flowing. I chose this classic, short-sleeve, red dress.
Red Date Night Dress
I wore this gorgeous red dress by Bailey44. It seriously is the best and easiest date night dress! It’s a beautiful color, great length, has sleeves for coverage, and it’s form fitting. I love the slit on the side that gives it a sexy touch. It’s $89. The other great thing about this dress is that it’s ponte knit, making it wrinkle-resistant and ideal for travel!

The Look
To complete the look, I threw on a chic white blazer by Smythe. It’s sold out but I linked similar ones below. Next, I brought my new Givenchy bag. It’s a great size for travel and I love the bright white. Lastly, I’m wearing these incredibly chic white slingbacks. They’re by Yuul Yie and have super cool embellished heels. They’re the epitome of Parisian chic! And, no French date night look is complete without a bold red lip. This is the lip stain “Always Red” by Sephora. I LOVE this outfit so much and felt SO special wearing it. You will too!

I was excited to find my first email from your site today. I’ve looked at various Youtube sites & yours attracted me very much…your style & tips. I have to confess , though, that I am past my forties but your style is so similar to what I like to wear , I don’t feel i am making a mistake by cautiously following your advice which I feel is very classic.
