One of my favorite winter staples? A midi dress! But not just any midi dress…a sweater midi dress! A sweater dress for fall and winter is a simple go-to that makes getting dressed easy! Sweater dresses are chic and functional. And you look put together but are still very comfortable and casual. If you don’t already have a staple midi dress, it’s time to get one! And I have two perfect options for you…
#1 | A.L.C. Brown Sweater Dress
This A.L.C. sweater dress is the most gorgeous chocolate brown color! Which makes it perfect for fall because one of the top trends right now is anything in brown tones and neutrals! I also love the ribbed texture, asymmetrical midi length, and sexy slit on the side. It’s super soft and so comfortable. The fabric is a wool-blend, so you’ll stay warm! The dress also comes in a turtleneck option if you prefer that neckline instead.
You can make it edgy and casual paired with combat boots like I did. Or style it with heels for a more sophisticated, dressy look. These combat boots are by See by Chloe and by far the best combat boots I’ve tried! I love the hardware, chunky heel, and that they don’t look too masculine (like a lot of combat boots do).
#2 | Norma Kamali Midi Dress
The second midi dress is one I bought last year and LOVE! It’s by one of my favorite designers, Norma Kamali. All of her styles are made with high-quality fabric… they are stylish, and always have a modern touch. This dress is a great, lightweight quality jersey material so it’s nice for all of you who live in warmer climates where a sweater dress may be too thick of an option. If you live in a cooler climate, you can throw on a coat or jacket to stay warm. The long sleeves and hemline of this dress also help with keeping you warm.
Since it’s fitted, it’s a pretty sexy option that you can throw on for date night and feel sophisticated, elegant, and still covered! For more date night inspo, check out this post. I’m wearing the dress with brown suede boots that are unfortunately sold out. I linked a similar option, but you could also wear booties or heels to dress it up even more!

Hi again, erin
Just a quick , “You’re still the best!
Thinking of topics we women wrestle with and would love a detailed video of best bras and undergarments for large chested women. Especially in the days of implants, when our chest may be disproportionate with our waist and hips whether by choice or not. Please be sure to include best minimizing, yet comfort winners. I prefer skinny straps, but longline since I have fibromyalgia and pressure across my back is best tolerated more dispersed than a more narrow strap of scratchy ELASTIC. Thank you for all you do !
Have you met with a bra fit specialist?? I would definitely try that… I really love natori
Amazing look. I love black and brown together. You look gorgeous. if this comes out in all caps I apologize. I can’t seem to turn on caps lock in this window. Happy new year

Hi Erin,
I am subscribed to your newsletter but I can’t find the basics checklist that I would have gotten when i first signed up, probably 2 years ago. If it isn’t on the blog, could you please resend it to me? I am thinking about doing a closet cleanout this weekend and i think it would be helpful to have it. Thanks!
Lynn
You have them now, right Lynn?
