You Won’t Want To Miss This Sneak Peek Inside Erin’s New Home!

Furnishing A New Home

As you might already know, Erin and her family are back from their adventure in Spain and moved into their gorgeous, brand-new home in Telluride, CO. In Telluride, homes are sold and rented fully furnished because it isn’t easy to move or deliver furniture in a mountainous, ski village! This means Erin needs EVERYTHING for her new house. I mean everything from bathroom towel hooks to patio furniture. That alone would be enough to send some of us into a shopping spiral! But to add another layer of difficulty, Erin had to purchase these items online, sight unseen, so the house would be relatively move-in ready. She worked with a great designer to assist with the major furniture decisions, but also did a LOT of shopping on her own…from her apartment in Spain. Entirely furnishing a new home with a laptop as your only tool… Can you even imagine?!

In case you missed it, you can read all about why Erin and her family moved to Spain, here!

Let’s Go Room To Room!

Many of the furniture pieces Erin selected are from Restoration Hardware but because RH doesn’t have an affiliate program, I’m unable to easily link exact items. BUT, we found several very similar items to share with you. I love the style of her new home…it’s what I would call modern-mountain chic! A beautiful mix of glass and brass with wood and leather. They are just getting settled but the photo above shows you one of their sitting rooms. And…that view!

Main Living Area

In her main living area, Erin incorporates light grey oak, brown and graphite leathers with brass and marble tables, lamps and fixtures. Her pillows and throws are rich and soft – faux fur and sheepskin. These warm and inviting textures will play together beautifully along with the gold, glass and crystal finishes…just stunning!

Master Bedroom

Great lighting and a good mirror are SO essential for filming and photos. Therefore, a full-length, selfie-approved mirror may have been added to cart sooner rather than later. Erin chose this gorgeous sink for the ensuite bathroom. A touch of glam is incorporated with all the classic pieces in the master retreat and throughout the house.

Kid’s Bedrooms & Bath

While Gage’s room includes masculine, dark wood furniture, Elizabeth’s will have feminine touches like a canopy bed, and a gorgeous crystal and brass light fixture! She also picked this pretty blue wallpaper. Erin chose orange and bright blue accessories for the kids’ bathroom.

Barstools, Dining and Outdoor Seating

I love these rich leather and slick metal barstools. Sometimes, modern pieces can seem “cold”, but all the contrasting warm tones and fabrics make her home cozy AND inviting.

Complete Kitchen

Erin purchased most of her kitchen necessities from William Sonoma so I AM able to link those! No kitchen would be complete without the perfect espresso machine and air fryer and I’m loving her choice for flatware. Honestly, I haven’t upgraded my set since 1999 (no joke!) and the gold is calling my name.

Lighting

Erin’s consistent use of glass, crystals, gold and bronze with the lamps and light fixtures definitely adds a modern and glamorous touch next to the heavy wood and dark leather furniture.

Rugs

There are beautiful shades of blue in most of the area rugs she selected for the bedrooms and living areas. You might remember she used blue as an accent color in her last Telluride home as well. If you missed her blog post about that home tour, you can go back and see that here. And, if you are interested in learning how to effortlessly mix prints in your own home, there are a few simple tips and tricks here to keep in mind!

Hi Erin – looks beautiful! Would you mind sharing your TV size and fireplace length? We have a very large TV (82″) and are planning to put a linear fireplace below but have been struggling with the right proportions. Yours look great. Thanks so much!

Hi Julie, Erin’s TV is 75 inches. Not sure about the fireplace, but hopefully the TV measurement will give you enough to go on. Thanks for your note and have an amazing week! Susan
