Going Out
Are you headed out for a holiday party or NYE?! It’s time to have some fun!! Here is your opportunity to shimmer and shine! Love sequins? Sparkle in them! Love feathers? You know what they say about “Birds of a Feather…”! Love both? Why not?! You can get head to toe in your favorite material – sequins, feathers, satin/silk, leather, velvet – and you will be perfect for the holiday! In the above photos, I am wearing a green sequin dress and a matching faux fur jacket. The double green makes a fun statement!! (The jacket has adjustable side ties but I just tied them in the back so it would look dressier.) I’ve also paired it with gold platform heels that can be worn later. If you don’t like bare legs, then try these sequin pantyhose that have been circulating on social media! I want a pair! LOL!
Here are some style equations that I’ve worn in the past:
Sequin blazer/jacket (as a top) + leather pants = Sophisticated Glam
Velvet dress = One And Done
Sequin top + sequin pants = Jumpsuit Look
Metallic skirt + sheer top = Fabulously Fashionable
Metallic dress + leather jacket + faux fur wrap = It Actually Works

Staying In
Are you more of an introvert or just want to cozy up at home this year? There is NOTHING wrong with that! In fact, that is what I prefer! My suggestion for this (and many other style scenarios) is the simple matched set whether it’s a tracksuit, sweats, or sweater set! Why not BE COZY? I am wearing a knit sweater and elastic waistband pants set – chic and cozy. Doesn’t that sound dreamy?!
You can wear fun accessories like headbands, earrings, fun socks, or fuzzy slippers to make your outfit more festive! I love themed home parties, and here is my list of fun accessories to make anything fun and joyful!
NYE Headband
(Lele Sadoughi headband if you are trying to be more chic!)
Rhinestone Earrings
NYE Party Glasses
Fuzzy Slippers
Don’t forget the champagne and noisemakers!

Hi Erin!
Honestly, at first I thought that your outfits would be too young and expensive for me. When I realized that I could get that gorgeous green dress and matching coat online at Walmart, I ordered it immediately! I even went on Amazon and ordered the sparkly tights. I found a great pair of gold metallic wingtip sneakers on another site! And just so you know, I’m 65, and I’m getting married this month. I was originally ordering the outfit for New Year’s Eve, but I’ve decided I’m going to rock this courthouse wedding!
Thanks for the inspiration,
Erin (yep, me too!)
