13 Chic Activewear Brands That Will Keep You Moving on Your Fitness Journey

Activewear Favorites

It’s that time of the year when we start writing down our goals or resolutions for the new year. Oftentimes, we set big, lofty goals for our fitness. Don’t get us wrong…setting and committing to our wellness goals is important. But we know that for many people, they are hard to keep. Remember to be kind to yourself and listen to your body, mind, and heart. Instead of saying you’ll work out 5 times a week, consider reducing that to a more doable 2-3 workout and plan to do just things that make your body feel good and actually bring you joy. Dance while you vacuum, listen to your favorite podcast while you take the dog on a longer walk, or chase your kids around the backyard in a competitive game of tag. If you’re on your fitness journey (or just starting!), we’re sharing some of Erin’s activewear favorites and ALL of Team Busbee’s favorite activewear brands so you can feel stylish and motivated in your workout gear in 2024!

If you’re interested, Erin shared more about how she started creating healthier habits by listening to her mind, body, and heart last year in this post.

#1) Beyond Yoga Spacedye Bra & Leggings

Erin loves Beyond Yoga for stylish, high-performance activewear. They have amazing fabrics and tons of super cute options. She recently purchased this new Spacedye set in the prettiest neutral beige and white color combo. Spacedye is one of Beyond Yoga’s most popular fabrics. Erin prefers it because it’s super soft, not too restrictive, but still feels supportive.

The leggings have a crossover V in the front that’s very flattering and the 7/8 length is perfect on Eirn (she’s 5’4”). The matching bra top is supportive enough for light to medium exercises like yoga and Pilates but we wouldn’t recommend it for HIIT or intense cardio. You can throw a sweater or tee over the bra, add a puffer, and head to the gym or your workout class in style. The bra and leggings both run true to size.

#2) Port De Bras Jumpsuit

This is a new-to-Erin activewear brand, but she saw this jumpsuit and had to try it…aaaand she loves it! The brand has really interesting, unique pieces that are so fun if you want to splurge on a cute piece. This jumpsuit is insanely flattering! You can see how the chevron print down the sides cheats in and creates a super slimming effect. We also love the more muted colors on the sides. It has a double-layered bodice and is made out of high-compression jersey fabric, but we would only wear this for low-intensity workouts like weight lifting, yoga, Tracy Anderson, and Pilates.

#3) Zella Tank & Flared Leggings

Zella is another go-to brand for Erin and Team Busbee. They have classic, affordable, high-quality options ranging from high to low-impact workouts so you can find something for whatever your workout of choice may be. In this look, Erin’s wearing a cropped tank and flared leggings by Zella. If you’re looking for a classic black longline sports bra or tank, this is a wonderful option. It has a built-in shelf bra, supportive straps, and a flattering V-neckline. You could wear this for low-impact workouts but it’s not supportive enough for HIIT or cardio. It runs true to size.

Erin paired the tank with some yoga pants that are SO comfy and have a flared leg that’s very on-trend right now. She wears them around the house, for workouts, and for quick errands. Online says they are a flared leg but they really fit more like a straight leg. They also run a little large so we recommend ordering a size down. The black is selling out fast but they come in a few other colors as well.

Sweaty Betty Pullover

#4) Sweaty Betty Pullover

Having a cute pullover to throw on when you’re headed to/from the gym or workout classes is really nice and can help make your workout look feel more complete. This Sweaty Betty pullover is older but there are still a few available so we wanted to share it in case you can snag your size in one of the pretty colors (it runs true to size). We shared some more pullovers below that would look so cute over your workout look! By the way, the exact navy set Erin’s wearing under the pullover is sold out but we linked a similar option below.

On Cloud Sneakers

#5) On Cloud Sneakers

One last “activewear” must-have we want to share is On sneakers! Even if you aren’t working out, these are a wonderful pair of sneakers to have in your closet for kids sporting events, trips, walks around the neighborhood, running errands, etc. Erin owns these sneakers in multiple colors and really loves them. They’re supportive, lightweight, and next-level comfortable. They’re also cute AND functional…our favorite combination. Fit runs true to size. They come in multiple styles so we linked some options below. Erin’s wearing the Cloud 5 Running Shoes.

I’m looking for sport specific clothes. Pickleball wear in particular. Although where I live in Southern California pretty much anything goes, golf and tennis clothes look dated. Any pickleball brands?
