Fashion Trends 2015: Stone or Acid Wash Jeans

I know.

It makes me cringe a little too.

But there’s also something quite fun and nostalgic about busting out 80-inspired pieces.

I noticed these Rag & Bone jeans in Saks right away. How can you not? They definitely stand out.

I couldn’t decide if I loved them or hated them until I actually put them on. The pattern is slimming (almost like vertical stripes) and the fit is flattering! That sealed the deal for me.

I paired these with a v-neck, comfy white sweater and my matching cobalt blue blazer, pumps and bag.

This is not a look I would wear to a business meeting, but it’s fun for the weekend! And, aren’t you a little bored with your ‘regular’ jeans? This is a great way to shake things up.

By the way, a lot of readers ask me about distressed jeans (over 40). I wear them and love them, but in order to keep it age appropriate, I usually pair them with a cashmere sweater, tailored blazer or feminine blouse. I think you have to be careful not to go too  ‘trendy’ or edgy.
