Meet Erin

Hi, I’m Erin. I created BusbeeStyle to make style and shopping SIMPLE for busy women like us, juggling life over 40.

You are BUSY. Like super busy. Like ridiculously busy.
You are basically a professional juggler. You juggle husbands, kids, houses, bills, carpool, meals, laundry, etc. etc.

Almost always, something HAS to give.  Usually that something…is your STYLE.

My goal is to make style simple and attainable for busy women like you.
That means lots of ‘real’ outfit posts to give you styling ideas, in-store “Try On” videos to give you shopping suggestions…
I also tackle trends, home organization, travel, fitness, and family.

Be sure to check back every Wednesday and Friday mornings when I upload new videos.

I have two children, Gage, 8 years old and Elizabeth who is 6. These two keep me very busy!

I’m a wife of a native Texan I met in New York City.  He and I have been married for about 10 years. He is a wonderful, supportive husband… and (most days), I feel really lucky! 😉
I’ve also experienced a lot of life changes.  I know what it is like to go through weight and body changes, moves, loss, heartbreak, pregnancy, etc.

I worked in TV news for about a decade, most notably at WCBS in New York, covering the entertainment, fashion and beauty news.
I started my wardrobe consulting business, in 2009, right after I moved to Texas.
For about five years, I styled hundreds of clients and shoots.
In an effort to reach more women, I now focus most of my attention on the blog,, and my YouTube channel, BusbeeStyle TV.
In addition to online videos, I occasionally do style TV segments…the most of exciting of which was “Good Morning America.”
I have also presented dozens of style classes to corporations, colleges and charities including JAFRA Cosmetics, HEB, and Texas State University.
Over the past year, I have collaborated with major brands on the site, like NordstromNeiman Marcus, and Henri Bendel.

You can read more about my career here.

Perfection doesn’t exist. I’ll be the first to tell you, I’m FAR from perfect.  I have horrible looking feet (for real. Bad), Skin laxity (thank you, dermatologists, for labeling my aging, saggy skin), And if you look closely enough, something is almost always out of whack… chipped polish, no makeup, fuzzy hair… among other delightful flaws.

The reality is… none of us have it all together.  None of us are perfect.  And, most of us feel like we are barely keeping our heads above water.

My hope is that you come to, and find the resources you need for easy, attainable style.

I want you to feel empowered to step out your door with a little extra confidence,
knowing that no matter what life throws your way, you can look like you have your act together…even if you don’t.

Frequently Asked Questions...

How Did You Become a Blogger and YouTuber?

I started out working in television. When I married my husband and moved to Texas, I began styling women one-on-one, helping them with all their wardrobe needs. After five years of styling clients and shoots, I was ready for a new challenge. Once I found out about Reward Style, a company that enables you to monetize your online content, I was off and running!

All of the jobs I’ve had in the past prepared me perfectly for this business. It really uses all of the skills I’ve learned over the years, from writing to production to design.

What Does Your Husband Do?

I think people are always curious about Chris since I don’t really share that much about him online. He and I are both self-employed.  Chris has several jobs. 1) He works with a NY based investment bank. 2) He and his college friend own and help operate two recycled wood palette businesses in Texas. 3) Chris also manages a charitable trust. Additionally, he loves fishing, birds, skiing, reading and travel. This sounds like a dating profile. Ha!

Why Did You Move From Texas to Colorado?

I did a couple of videos that explain this in a bit more depth here and here. Essentially, I fell in love with Telluride, Colorado the minute I first stepped foot in this town and joked, “When can we move here?” Five years later…here we are!

Our family was in Texas mostly to care for my husband’s mother.  Sadly, she passed away a few years ago, and about a year afterward, we started the dialog about what to do moving forward. Telluride was going to be a one-year experiment, but we quickly realized we wanted to stay. We bought a house three months ago and have no plans to leave.

What Size Are You? And, What Do You Do To Stay Fit?

At 5’4″, I’m petite. I typically wear a 2 or 4 in clothing or dresses, depending on the fit. I wear a size 25 or 26 jeans. I am about 115 pounds. I used to do Tracy Anderson Method workouts religiously. Now I’m doing a combination of cardio (hiking, jogging) and BBG workouts. Read more about BBG here and here.
