2 Cool Jackets Under $50 That Are Perfect This Winter

Now that the weather is changing here in Colorado…  I wear jackets all day, every day. I also look for lighter jackets that I can layer. I’m basically always searching for jackets that are stylish, easy to style, and affordable! I recently found TWO super affordable jackets from JCPenney that are really cool! These will be great for those of you in warmer climates to wear all winter. If you live in a cold climate like me, you can wear them now, layer them, under wool coats or pull them out on warmer days.

#1 | Puffer Jacket

I was so excited to get this jacket! It’s a midweight, quilted puffer, and very warm. The coolest thing about this jacket is the removable dickey. You can zip in and zip out the gray sweater and hood that you see in the photos above. How cool is that!? The gold hardware and zippers are another nice touch that makes it look even more expensive than it is. It’s ONLY $40! Can you even believe it?? I can’t. It comes in black, olive green, and burgundy.

You can’t see it, but under the jacket, I have on a basic white v-neck sweater. It’s super soft and comes in tons of colors. It’s a really affordable basic! Next, I’m wearing classic Levi’s 711 skinny jeans. These jeans run long so keep that in mind if you’re petite like me. I actually took the scissors to mine to make them shorter. To complete the look, I’m wearing a pair of heeled black booties. They’re comfortable, easy to walk in, and have a side zip. The pointed toe makes you look taller and slimmer. My favorite part is that they are leather AND suede! They also come in white, brown, and snake print. You could easily swap these for a cute pair of sneakers boots or wedge sneakers.

#2 | Moto Jacket

For the second look, all I did was switch out the puffer jacket for a moto jacket. But this is not your average moto jacket! It has faux shearling trim around the cuffs and neck that gives it that chic, modern look. I love the way the white shearling and black faux leather contrast. The jacket has a trendy, edgy vibe. And again…it’s ONLY $40! I know, you’re like, “Whaaattt????” It’s true. Look it up!
