#1 | Rakuten
One of my personal favorite sites is Rakuten (formerly Ebates). It’s completely free, and you earn cash back at thousands of fabulous retailers. Plus, Rakuten offers access to coupons on top of their cashback program. Simply install a convenient browser extension that automatically lets you know if the site you are on offers cashback. You can earn anywhere from 1% to 12% cashback, and sometimes even more during special sales. Erin talks more about Rakuten in this video if you want to know her experience with it!
#2 | Honey
A subsidiary of PayPal, the Honey app is also a free browser extension that takes the work out of finding coupon codes. Once you download the extension to your computer, Honey’s smart shopping assistant will find the best coupon codes for the retailer you’re shopping with and will automatically apply the discount on your behalf. When you’re in your shopping cart and ready to check out, click “Apply Coupons” and it’ll do the work for you.
#3 | Karma
Formerly known as Shoptagr, Karma is an all-in-one shopping assistant that tracks price drops, and when items are back in stock, so you can buy at the right time. You’ll create custom lists for items you love in one place, right down to your size and color preference. Once your list is created, Karma emails or texts you when your items go on sale so you can shop more mindfully. It take a bit of time to get your lists set up, but when you do, you’ll unlock some major savings!
#4 | RetailMeNot
RetailMeNot is a popular site that offers coupon codes for thousands of online and in-store retailers. Each day, the site updates its homepage with deals that are trending that day. Not only can you find coupon codes, but also cashback opportunities and discounted gift cards. It’s a great place to check for coupons before you head to a physical shopping destination as well.
#5 | Amazon Coupons
You read that right! I didn’t know about the online giant’s best-kept secret until recently. Amazon offers coupons for many of the products on its site. If you are an avid Prime shopper, then you should definitely investigate these money-saving opportunities. Most of the coupons offered are manufacturer’s coupons, but you can add them to your cart with just a few clicks.
#6 | Ibotta
Ibotta is a coupon app that lets you earn cashback on certain items by completing different tasks. These tasks might include purchasing the item, providing proof of purchase, watching a short video, or commenting on the product. The number of tasks will vary based on the item and the amount of cashback.
