The Best Headphones!

I’ve found the most amazing headphones… Hearphones by Bose! Right now more than ever, we need to have headphone that funtion well for working from home, blocking out the noise, and enhancing important conversations. The Hearphones are conversation-enhancing headphones and I explain more about what they do and how they work below. I don’t usually review tech but these Bose headphones are amazing and probably something we all need right now…

The Setup

First I want to talk about the setup…it may seem a bit intimidating at first, but I promise it is SO easy! The first thing you do is put the neckband around your neck. The remote should be on your right (make sure the Bose logo is upright). Next, you should power on the Hearphones. Lastly, you can download the Hear app from the App Store, complete your setup and personalize your settings. Make sure you find your Hearphones in your Bluetooth settings on your phone or iPad… and connect them!

Earbuds

Once you set and connected your Hearphones, you are ready to pop the earbuds into your ears. You have a few size choices so you can customize the size for your ears. Attached to the earbuds cable on one side is your remote. You can use the up and down arrows to adjust the ambient sound by increasing it or decreasing it. You can also decrease sounds around you, while increasing music, your phone call or directional conversation. The volume adjustment is very helpful in a lot of different scenarios, which I go over below. The Hearphones are also wireless so they connect to your music or call through Bluetooth.

What Can I Use These For?

It doesn’t matter what my kids are doing. They can even be in the same room as I am, having a pillow fight, which they are in the photo above, Annddd… I can still hear my work call without ANY issue. It’s crystal clear sound.

You can also control the volume of ambient sound, and you can also control the direction of the sound. This is mind-blowing to me. For example, if you are at a loud, crowded restaurant and you want to increase the volume of the person across from you and decrease the rest of the noise, no problem!

Working with Hearphones

The summer months are the toughest for me when it comes to getting work done, but I actually can work, without distraction, when I wear these Hearphones. And since the majority of us are working from home right now, the importance of good headphones is even bigger! Both my kids and Traveler tend to make a lot of noise in the background. As long as we are in a safe setting, like home or a confined space, and I don’t have to worry about the kids getting hurt,  I’m popping these in my ears!

Ocean Test

When I actually could go to the beach, I listened to music outside by the ocean to test it out…I could hear my music perfectly, but not the waves! You can listen to all of your favorite music, distraction-free! Got a worker jack-hammering out front, no problem. Kids screaming. Not an issue. Husband annoying the crap out of you. You got this! 😉

Loud Places

Some other scenarios where these will come in VERY handy (when we’re actually allowed to get out of our houses)…

1. At a loud concert, you can control the volume of the music!
2. Having dinner with a group at a noisy restaurant. You can turn your friends up, and the restaurant noise down
3. One person likes the TV very low, you can watch too… and turn the TV volume UP.
4. If you struggle to hear someone who is soft-spoken, like your kids or grandkids, turn the volume up.
5. Hear EVERYTHING your teens say, even when they are mumbling. Ha!

Sound Quality

Now, let’s talk about sound quality for a minute. I am definitely not one of those people who needs perfect sound. I can actually hear at ZERO decibels. No joke. I had my hearing tested. BUT… the sound that comes out of these Bose headphones is nothing short of AMAZING. I always knew Bose was good… I just didn’t remember how good. And, to think I could have been having my one-woman dance party all these years with the most amazing sound, instead of my… meh, just okay, sound. It’s like carrying a fake bag after experiencing the real deal.

Comfort

I also just wanted to reiterate how comfortable these Hearphones are in your ears. You do not feel like there is anything in your ears. I’ve been using earbuds when I travel and they hurt my ears and fall out a LOT. I’m excited to try the Hearphones on my next trip! And I won’t panic when I sit next to a chatty loner or in the seat by the engines.

Investment

This is a classic case of… you get what you pay for. Yes, these are pricey, but between the comfort, the sound quality and the unique technology… they are well worth it!
