Feeling Blue? Add Instant Life and Cheer To Your Home
Blue Home Decor Finds!
I’m usually a huge fan of neutral home décor because it’s so versatile, clean, and calming. I really love the warm, earthy colors! BUT, especially in spring and summer, I find myself veering away from my own monochromatic madness. I love to mix it up and pepper in some blue accents wherever I can. I’m feeling blue…but in the best way! Blue is such a happy color and reminds me of the beach (my favorite place!) If you too are a lover of blue, keep scrolling for some home décor finds that will breathe some fresh life into your space.
A couple of tips for adding color to your living space…try to pick one dominant color.
That color should account for about 60% of your decor.
Next, throw in a secondary color (about 30%).
And lastly, add an accent color. It can take up about 10% of your space.
Do you switch up the colors in your home to go with the seasons or do you keep things pretty much the same year-round? Leave me a note in the comments! This piece combines two of my favorites - blue and gold. There's a subtle gold foil around each of the capiz shells and the frame is also gold metal. So, this piece has 3-dimension, beachy vibes, and aspects of nature.
The beautiful bench would make a great catch-all for an entryway or placed at the foot of a bed. I linked a slightly smaller version as well. I don't own this exact bench, but the reviews on both are amazing!
These blue agate coasters are stunning! So stunning that they are nearly sold out so I linked another similar set as well. Have you heard of biophilic design? In a nutshell, designers say that adding natural elements to your home like rock, wood, or plants, can improve your overall health and well-being.
This pretty vase looks like a pleated, paper lantern but it's made of ceramic. It comes in 2 sizes which would look great paired together or individually.
This midcentury book pack is SO cool! Each set comes with a dozen books (each pack is unique) all published between 1940-1969. There are 7 other color packs to choose from including a pretty green and a pack called "island" which is various shades of blues + greens.
This beautiful blue, grey, and white rug comes in 6 different sizes and looks very similar to one Erin just purchased for her new home! And...like all Rugable rugs, it's machine washable too which is pretty darn cool.
