There are so many different kinds of jeans:
Skinny jeans, mom jeans, flare jeans, boyfriend jeans, girlfriend jeans, bootcut jeans…and so on!
But today I want to focus on boyfriend jeans.
First…what are boyfriend jeans??
They are jeans that are supposed to look like you borrowed them from your boyfriend.
That means, baggier through the waist and legs.
I am petite, so I opt for slim boyfriend jeans. They are more fitted than traditional boyfriend jeans, but not as fitted as skinny jeans.
How to Wear Boyfriend Jeans
I like to contrast the baggy jeans, with something a little more tailored on top.
I also like to pair my boyfriend jeans with feminine pieces to offset the masculinity of the style.

For the first look, I paired the jeans with a long sleeve, black tee and a circle cardigan.
I love this cardigan because it’s so cozy and soft…great for around the house!
I completed the look with some understated, and chic accessories like this black circle bag and chic slides.

Look #2 | Date Night
The next look is a date night look. Who says boyfriend jeans can’t be sexy?

Look #3 | Cami, Blazer, and Pumps
This look can easily transition from day to night.
It’s a little more polished and sophisticated.
I paired the jeans with a black cami that has an interesting strap detail, and this Vince Camuto blazer.
The blazer is a great length which makes it quite versatile.
I finished off the look with some classic and gorgeous black pumps. Here is a pair I love for less.

Look #4 | White Blouse
You can wear this look (above) on the weekends, during the day, and even into the evening.
I love how this white blouse from Anthropologie softens the inherently masculine boyfriend jeans.
The top is beautiful, and billowy… so it will easily mask a tummy.
I added these neutral colored booties by Rag & Bone to soften the look even more.

A cool, casual look!
Wear this outfit while you’re running errands, picking up kids, going to a soccer game, etc.
This sweatshirt has a few standout details including cuffed sleeves, puff shoulders, and a corset waist.
I love how the corset detailing defines the waist. No more boxy sweatshirts!
