Fall Boots & Booties
It’s time to say buh-bye to summer styles and hello to fall fashion! The leaves are changing, the temps are lowering, and based on what I’m hearing from you in emails and DM’s, you are ready for all things fall! Today I’m sharing FIFTEEN of my favorite boots for fall…most of which I’ve owned for years. There are a lot of different styles and price points so you’re sure to find something that works for your lifestyle and budget!
By the way, make sure you subscribe to our newsletter here so you don’t miss out on any of the exciting fall content we have planned for you.
#1) Schutz Maryana Boots
I love these Schutz knee-high boots so much that I bought them in white croc-embossed and the python print. They also come in a few other colors too! Schutz makes really great shoes that are stylish, comfortable, and a great price point…and these tall sexy boots are no exception. They’re also so versatile that they look great with everything from jeans to skirts to dresses. They run true to size.
#2) Steve Madden Lug-Sole Booties
Steve Madden comes out with a new version of these booties every year and I buy them…every year. They’re such a classic black bootie but they have a little bit of edge because of the chunky lug-sole. This year’s version is SO lightweight that I was shocked when I picked them up. Steve Madden is another one of Team Busbee’s favorite affordable shoe brands because all of their styles are super comfortable and affordable. They run true to size.
#3) Stuart Weitzman Sock Booties
If you’re looking for a pair of dressy booties, these Stuart Weitzman sock booties are perfect! I’ve had these for years and love how comfortable (for heels) and versatile they are. They’re fitted to the leg, which adds a level of sophistication, elegance, and modernity, versus an open bootie that’s less fitted to the ankle. I wear these booties with everything from baggier jeans to dresses and skirts. They are a little pricier but don’t worry, we have other dressy bootie options coming up. They run true to size.
#4) Veronica Beard Platform Booties
A trend that’s really taken off over the past year or so is platforms! These black suede platform booties by Veronica Beard are amazing. They look super high, but trust me…they’re really comfortable (for heels) and super easy to walk in. (I wore them out to dinner three times in NY…that’s how comfy they are.) These booties have a dressy, slim heel (rather than chunky) but it’s not so slim that it is hard to walk in. My YouTube co-producer Denise ordered them and said she was able to walk to dinner and wear them for a few hours with no discomfort right out of the box! They run true to size.
#5) See by Chloe Combat Boots
These boots are trendy but still very versatile and stylish. I’ve had these See by Chloe combat boots for a few years, and I have to admit that when I first bought them, they were out of my comfort zone. But now, I wear them all. the. time. They’re such a cool way to add some edge and really elevate your look, they’re super comfortable and had virtually no break-in time. They’re at a higher price point but worth the investment. You can wear them with jeans or leggings for a casual outfit. But I also love wearing combat boots with dresses and skirts to create that contrast between feminine and masculine styles! They run true to size.
#6) Stuart Weitzman Leather Thigh-High Boots
If you’re looking to add a little (or a lot) of sexiness to a look, thigh-high boots are the way to go! I bought these for a trip to Paris earlier this year and styled them with jeans and a blazer…it completely elevated the “basic” look. They are leather, thigh-high, have a stiletto heel, and are SO sexy. They run true to size.
#7) Marc Fisher Knee-High Boots
I bought these knee-high boots during the NSale this year. I saw the gorgeous beige color and knew I had to try them on. They’re such a good basic if you don’t already have knee-high boots and they come in black leather and black suede if you don’t like the beige. They have a manageable and easy-to-walk-in 3” heel and are super comfortable (for heels). You can wear these over skinny or slim jeans and with skirts and dresses. Online it says they run large but I found that they fit true to size.
#8) Nordstrom Moto Boots
If you’re looking to add some edge to your outfit this fall, these black Nordstrom moto boots are a must-try! They have cool buckle details and they’re water-resistant. They have a chunky sole with great tread and a very small 1.5” heel and 1” platform. You can wear these with jeans, dresses, or skirts to add a little extra edge to any look. They’re also super affordable…right now they are on sale for $60 (originally $130). They run true to size.
#9) Schutz Stiletto Booties
I love these Schutz booties so much that I have them in white AND black! They are comfortable (for heels), have a 3.5” heel, and have a dressier feel…perfect for wearing with dresses during the fall/winter or dressing up a pair of jeans.
#10) 27 Edit Naturalizer Suede & Leather Booties
If you’re looking for a pair of affordable booties that are a little dressier but still very versatile, these black 27 Edit Naturalizer booties are great! I love that they’re leather and suede. The 2.75” kitten heel is very manageable, easy to walk in, and they’re very comfortable. The pointed toe really elongates the leg…especially paired with dark wash or black jeans.
#11) Me+Em Patent Leather Booties
A classic pair of ankle boots are a must-have for fall/winter but if you already have that covered, consider adding a fun pair of patent leather boots to the rotation. I love the cool, shiny patent leather and vintage-inspired silhouette of these boots from Me+Em. The block heel makes them easy to walk in, they’re comfortable (for heels), and the ~2” heel is very manageable and adds just the right amount of height. They also have a side zip so they’re easy to get on and off, which is a must for busy women like us!
#12) Veronica Beard Wedge Booties
I love to wear wedge booties and I picked up this pair by Veronica Beard during the NSale this year. These booties are super chic, sleek, and comfy. They have about a 4” heel but since they’re wedges, they’re more manageable. I’m planning to wear them this fall with joggers, pants, and jeans.
#13) Isabel Marant Western-Inspired Boots
The western trend started a few years ago and it’s safe to say it’s still going strong. When the trend was at its peak, I was looking for a pair of cowboy boots that weren’t too western and that had a little more interest. That’s when I saw these Isabel Marant boots and fell in love. They are serious showstoppers and really make a statement. I’ve worn these with everything from jeans to leather pants to skirts and dresses, and they are absolutely more versatile than you’d think! The subtle western details are on-trend but not over the top. Yes, they are a splurge, but if you want a killer pair of boots this fall/winter to pair with all your wardrobe basics, these foot the bill (pun intended!). If you like the look but not the price tag, this pair by Schutz will give you a similar look.
#14) Jenni Kayne Ankle Boots
If you’re looking for a classic pair of black booties that you can wear with everything, this pair by Jenni Kayne is a great option! They’re super comfortable, don’t have a heel (which is often requested by our wonderful community), and are very versatile. They run true to size and also come in a few other colors.
#15) Sorel Wedge Booties
I know we’re only just starting to ease into fall but it’s only a matter of time before winter is here and snow is on the ground so I wanted to share my favorite pair of “dressy” snow boots. These Sorel Joan of Arctic wedge boots are waterproof, have amazing tread, and they’re comfortable! They’re perfect for anyone who lives in a wet, snowy climate or is taking a trip somewhere that is. I love the wedge because it gives me some height but they’re still super easy to walk around in! Wear these with warm, but thin, wool socks to keep your toes toasty.
