Step 1) Radiant Cleansing Balm
Over 40, we need products that are gentle on our mature skin and that includes gentle cleansers. Colleen Rothschild’s Radiant Cleansing Balm is nothing short of AMAZING! The smell and rich, creamy feel is spa-like. If you’re not familiar with a cleansing balm, it’s definitely different than a normal cleanser. You massage it into dry skin (versus wet) and it’s a thicker consistency. It took me a while to get used to but now I exclusively use balm or oil for cleansing. It just feels so much better on my skin! I also use it at night, and it takes off all of your makeup from the day…including eye makeup! I’ve mentioned this balm SO many times before so if you’re already as big of a fan as I am, I highly recommend getting the jumbo size.
How To Use: Use morning and night on dry skin. Place on dry hands, rub fingertips to warm, massage into face. Use wet muslin cloth (comes with balm purchase) to wipe off.

Step 2) Madelic Acid Radiance Serum
For next level, gentle exfoliation, try the Mandelic Acid Radiance Serum. It is a treatment that leaves your skin looking brighter and smoother over time. The Mandelic Acid exfoliates beautifully, getting rid of dead skin cells, and boosting radiance! This is another pro-aging powerhouse I’ve been using for years. The website says to use this item at night but I also love using it in the morning.
How To Use: Apply to your clean face using a cotton pad or your fingertips. Massage evenly into face, neck, and chest. Do not rinse. Let it fully absorb before moving on to your next skincare step.

Step #3) Extreme Recovery Cream & Face Oil No. 9
This next step is one you can alter a bit depending on your skincare needs. We live at 9500 feet in one of the driest climates in the US so it’s safe to say I need a little extra hydration. I’ve talked with Colleen about how to combat this dryness during the winter and she suggests combining the Extreme Recovery Cream with Face Oil No. 9 to create the ultimate hydration concoction.
Extreme Recovery Cream
The Extreme Recovery Cream is REALLY hydrating and packed with good stuff like hyaluronic acid! Even if you don’t have super dry skin, this moisturizer is great! If you have oily skin or don’t need the extra hydration, try the Sheer Renewal Cream instead which also acts as an awesome foundation primer. The Extreme Recovery Cream now comes in a jumbo size if you know you already love it!
Face Oil No. 9
Face Oil No. 9 has been one of Colleen Rothschild’s best sellers for years and it’s my favorite face oil! It’s SO good! The smell, the texture, the feel… everything is amazing! It’s not too greasy and it absorbs quickly. By the way, if you are new to Colleen Rothschild’s product, I highly recommend trying the Discovery Collection. It includes 6 travel-sized products to try…including the face oil and the recovery cream!
How To Use:
Extreme Recovery Cream – Can be used day and night. Massage into clean, dry face and neck after you’ve applied serums.
Face Oil No. 9 – Combine with Extreme Recovery Cream for extra hydration. On its own, massage 3-4 drops into face, neck, and chest after cleansing and applying serums. Best to use at night (or during the day if you live in dry climates).
*Don’t forget to put any excess product on the backs of your hands and chest.

Step #4) Retinol Supreme Eye Serum
Last but certainly not least…the Retinol Supreme Eye Serum! This is an anti-aging must-have. Retinol is the gold standard when it comes to combatting fine lines and wrinkles. I love the cool, soothing applicator that is super easy to apply. It also acts as an amazing primer for concealer. You’ll LOVE this. I pretty much guarantee it.
How To Use: Gently squeeze the tube to dispense the serum onto the cooling applicator. Glide the applicator from the inner to outer eye area. Use your ring finger to gently pat the serum into your skin.

If you use the face oil on its own, you say to use it after cleansing. To clarify, does that mean using it between steps 1 & 2, the cleansing and the radiance serum?
If using the No. 9 face oil on its own, you’ll want to use it after cleansing and applying serums. I appreciate you pointing out that confusion on the instructions here, we’ve gone ahead and updated the post to read more clearly. I just know you’ll love all of these skincare products, Maureen!! ~Erin xo
