Elemis Skincare Review

Elemis 3-Piece Set from QVC includes day and night creams and an oil cleanser
ELEMIS 3-PIECE SKINCARE KIT

QVC compensated me to review the new Elemis 3-Piece Skincare Kit (above), and the full-size version.
It is a tough job, but somebody has to do it!

You all know how much I love a beauty gizmo, treatment, and of course my skincare.
I am also a BIG fan of Elemis… so I was VERY excited to try the new “Pro-Definition” line.

Travel Size

The small 3-piece kit above is PERFECT for travel.
I love that it comes with the travel case, and that each product is a good size (not too small).
But, they are small enough to pass FAA regulations.

It is also ONLY $49.96 at QVC. If sold separately, it would cost $92.

I also think buying the smaller sizes is the way to go if you’ve never tried Elemis.
It enables you to test the products without committing to the bigger price tag.

Elemis Nourishing Cleansing Oil

I thought the Elemis Cleansing Balm was my favorite until I tried this…

The Elemis Cleansing Oil is DIVINE! It feels so amazing on your skin.

How You Use It:

1) Pump a little into your hands,
2) Gently massage into your dry face.
3) Don’t forget to rub eye makeup off

#3 is SUCH bonus for me because it means I get to skip one step.
No need to bust out the eye makeup remover or cotton balls.

And, lastly, once the oil is rubbed in, and most of your eye makeup is visibly gone,
4) Grab your warm washcloth, and gently wipe away the makeup.

True Story

I love a cleansing oil, and facial oils so much, I once concocted my own cleansing oil.
I put my mixture into a small plastic container (sealed with a lid to keep germs out).
Every evening I dipped my fingers into the oil, and slathered it on my face to clean off my makeup.
Whelp, after about three weeks I noticed something weird floating on the top of my mixture.
It was… MOLD.

MOLD!

I threw it away immediately, and decided it was best to leave skincare… to the pros.

Elemis Pro-Definition Day Cream

I’ve been using the Elemis Pro-Definition Day Cream for two weeks, and I think it’s great!
My skin feels very soft and smooth.
I will likely add a facial oil during the day for a little extra hydration, since it’s so dry here.
(And, my skin is already dry).

What’s In It?

One of the the newest kids on the anti-aging skincare block is… plant cells.
The Pro-Definition line is formulated with Starflower Oil (Borage Oil) that helps increase skin hydration….
And helps to reduce the appearance of dry, fine lines & wrinkles.
After just two weeks, my skin definitely looks dewy and youthful!

There is a full list of every ingredient here.

Elemis Pro-Definition Night Cream

The night cream is AWESOME!

I want hydration, hydration, hydration…and this cream has it in spades.
I also like a cream that feels like it is going to stay on while I sleep (not rub off on my pillow).

You can see how thick and creamy the night cream is in the picture above.
A little goes a long way, just use a pea size amount of cream, and gently massage into your skin.

Make sure you rub your hands together with any excess cream to keep your hands looking younger too!

No Makeup

I often leave the house without makeup. In order to pull that off…I have to keep my skin looking healthy.
It’s getting harder and harder to do that here in Colorado where it is so incredibly dry…
But, instead of getting discouraged, I see it as the ultimate skincare challenge!

In the pictures above, I have NO MAKEUP, only Elemis night cream on my face.

Erin…I adore this line. I have been using this kit and can’t say enough about it. Like you, the cleansing oil is the bomb. On the presentation, they did not recommend using it on eyes for cleansing. I just wondered if you could clarify this. Enjoy your blog & YouTube so much!

    • Erin Busbee says:

I don’t know if it is technically advertised to use on your eyes, but I have been using it to remove eye makeup every evening and it could not be more gentle.
I LOVE it!! I just put it on my finger tips and rub the makeup off my eyes. I look like a zombie for a few seconds before washing off with my wet washcloth, but this saves me time and I’m thrilled!
