As it gets cooler, it can be easy to fall into the habit of just throwing on whatever and calling it a day. But you should choose your sweaters wisely! Depending on the color, the material, and the overall design, a bad sweater can bring your whole outfit down. I bought a couple of sweaters this year that you’ll LOVE and won’t make you look or feel frumpy! You can throw all of these sweaters on with jeans and be warm…but stylish!
#1 | Sheer Sleeve Sweater
I love this gorgeous Aqua sweater! I’ve talked about Aqua sweaters from Bloomingdale’s a ton! You can see my most recent post about the sweaters here. These sweaters usually go on sale, making the price amazing for the quality!
This sweater has super cool sheer mesh sleeves, the cashmere is so soft, and I love the turtleneck. The weight is great for fall. And even with the puff sleeves, it’s still easy to layer under jackets and coats. I have the ivory, but it also comes in black.

How cool is this Rails sweater!? The buttons, camo print, and cardigan style give it some extra design details that make it a more interesting sweater option. I also love that it’s cropped so you can tuck it or leave it untucked. You can unbutton it and wear a tee underneath too. There aren’t many sizes left so I also linked this Rails camo sweater that is very similar. If you’re looking for a cashmere camo option, check out this post.

If you’re looking for a basic with a twist, this turtleneck is perfect! The puff shoulder detail on this turtleneck is the perfect feminine touch. It’s warm, soft, and super versatile. It also layers beautifully under whatever fall jacket you want!
#4 | Star Sweater
I bought this Aqua star sleeve sweater a few years ago and still wear it every fall! The stars along the arms just give it a fun detail that’s different and cool. You can wear this alone and throw a jacket on if you have to run an errand and it’s cold out.
