An Unusual And Chic Layering Combination For The Snow
You shouldn’t compromise style for warmth and vice versa. I like to try unusual layering combinations since I live in such a cold climate…just to mix things up. One of my favorites is to layer a moto jacket UNDER a coat.

Layering a Moto Jacket Under a Wool Coat
Wearing a moto jacket under a wool coat is not a super common way to layer. But I love how modern and chic it looks! The exact leather jacket I’m wearing in the photos above is sold out but I linked three options I’ve tried that are all at different price points in case you’re looking for a new leather/faux leather moto jacket.
Under the jacket, I have on a black turtleneck sweater paired with faux leather skinny jeans. I love the leather look and these jeans fit perfectly! On my feet, I’m wearing some waterproof and snowproof wedge booties by Ugg. The gloves I have on are by Carolina Amato and a must-have winter accessory. The black are a great staple, but there’s also a beautiful burgundy pair, which are equally chic!

Now, let’s talk about the ALL-IMPORTANT extra layer. In order for this to work, you have to layer OVER your moto jacket. That’s where a beautiful wool or cashmere wrap coat comes in. You get the warmth and the sophistication of that long coat and then when you get to your destination, you can take off the long coat and leave on your moto jacket for a great look. This camel coat is SO gorgeous and comes in three colors. If you are between sizes, I would size up for easier layering.
